  3. I was afraid this would happen. Everyone is all excited about it... for a few weeks... then no one uses it. That was my concern about paying to get it added to the board (I don't mind spending bux to add features that folks will actually use, but not for stuff that sits idle). It would be one thing if it were just a one-time fee, but I have to pay every year for the add-on. I think that come next annual renewal time, it will go byebye. Sorry, -Dan
  4. If you are a cat person, this site is priceless. http://icanhascheezburger.com/ I thought I would die laughing... *whew*
  5. Dang, dude... it was only posted here *AND* on the main site for several weeks. :D Not too late to claim your prize; it's just the pickings have gotten a bit slimmer. Go ahead and PM me your wants. -Dan
  6. Hi everyone, Just wanted to keep everyone up to date with everything that is Suncity Records. Below are the new album cover art for our next 3 CD's that we will shortly have for purchase for everybody. We have been getting a heap of email in regards to a release date for the following discs - Road Ratt - You Love Us, Jungle Blue - Call Of The Wild, Taupier - That Was Then... & Bad Attitude - Prisoners Of Rock. We are expecting a release date of no later than 7th of November 2008. We are all very sorry about the delay on the upcoming 4 CD's as we have run into some problems with the re-mastering on the Taupier disc where we got it back from the studio and found that it was over compressed and was a little harsh to listen to. We have also signed 3 more killer bands and are in the middle of getting the press releases together. Keep your eyes peeled to the website as the announcement of all 3 bands is immanent. 10. Ugh. Eagles are laying a turd against the Bears. Bleagh.
  11. PM me your username on the main site as well as both your old and new email addresses. -Dan
  12. I just tested it and the email came through almost instantly. Check your spam filtering... -Dan
  13. Ok, site is up and new features are live. Please let me know if you encounter any problems or have suggestions. -Dan
  14. The only times I'll bother clicking 'I own this' is if I see your name next to a CD that 'you want'. Just to let you know I have it and you don't. Why do you follow me around? Is it cos you are lonely and deep down love me? or is cos i have an incredibly hot backside? "Yes."
  15. At some point in the next week or two I'm going to have the main site down for anywhere from a few hours to a full day. Why? A few new list features: "I Own This". On any CD page you'll be able to click and set that you own a given CD. Pretty much just for entertainment purposes right now, being able to see what everyone owns in their collection and get a feel for the types of music they like, sort of the way the ratings list does. May pave the way for future enhancements like being able to print/generate your own collection guide, etc. Suggestions on what to do with this list appreciated. "I Want This." A wantlist. More importantly, instead of having to wander throughout the site you'll be able to go to a single page to search Ebay auctions, Buy-It Now, Amazon, and GEMM for items in your wantlist. Also, the return of the old eBay Monitor where you'll be able to click a single button and pull up all the currently running eBay auction listings for all the CDs on your wantlist. After things have been tested for a while and are running smoothly, I'll probably redo the login, comments, and rating systems on BrutalMetal.Com and HeavensMetal.Com so that they all work the way HH does, and if possible, work from the same login database. -Dan
  16. Just got this one yesterday. I don't hear GNR. I do hear Edguy blended with a bit of Crashdiet. Formulaic but fairly well executed, especially considering that all the members are younger than 20 (I believe). The anthem "My Religion" is solid, and for some reason I like "Zombie". I added the above 2 tracks to the HH radio feed. Of course the track "I Hate Hip Hop" is just plain trvth. -Dan
  17. I'm working on some tweaks and additional features for the main site. However, I'm not sure what kind of popup/new window behavior people prefer. For example: If you log into the main site and browse to a CD page, you can click on "See All Ratings" to pop open a window that lists all the ratings that have been given to that CD. You can then click on each username and see all the CDs that user has rated. Now... assume that the artist and titles in that list were live links. 1. Would you want the pages for the bands or CDs to ( A ) open yet another window, making a total of 3 open, ( B ) open in the current smaller window that has the list, or ( C ) open in the *original* main page on HH that you came from? 2. Assuming the answer is ( A ) or ( C ), upon clicking the link in the list window, should the list window ( A ) remain open, or ( B ) automatically close? The more features and lists I add to the site potentially make navigation messy. I suppose I could make ALL pages open in the same window rather than opening new ones, but I personally like to have lists and "minor branch" pages NOT take me away from my original/main page. What do people prefer? Thanks, -Dan
  18. Eagles looked good in the loss Monday, although I think the Eagles gave that game away. They clearly had the upper hand in the 4th quarter but that stupid turnover killed it. Also, could the Eagles PLEASE buy some pass defense? That portion of the game looked ugly. -Dan
  19. Supposedly coming with the next version of IPB. Not sure of the ETA. -Dan

    ESPN people

Mike & Mike is good, although the Geek vs. Jock bit gets a little long in the tooth from time to time. Colin Cowherd is interesting, but he's very preachy. The "Rush Limbaugh" of ESPN Radio. A couple of guys that I'm becoming a fan of: 1. Andy Gresh. Very sarcastic sense of humor, which always works for me. 2. Scott Van Pelt. Glad to see him getting more air time. The man is laugh out loud funny. Self-deprecating and doesn't take himself seriously. Very enjoyable, both on radio and on Sports Center. -Dan
  21. Definitely some fun games today. Was hoping the Patriots would lose, but the Jets let me down. Some surprises thus far: Both the Cardinals and the Bills are 2-0... whodathunk? -Dan
