  7. Not new, but different... catchy in a wierd sort of way.
  8. I sent an email to him on Friday when I first posted this. No reply. I toyed with the idea about making a big nasty post about this over on your board but figured I'd wait until after the weekend to give Sebastian a chance to respond. If this ends up all panning out and MBM insists upon continuing this partnership, then in my opninion bands, musicians, and collectors need to know that if they're buying from MusicBuyMail, they are supporting a company in bed with bootleggers. In my opinion, Sebastian knows exactly what they are. Otherwise, why would he make the titles available only via email newsletter and not carry the titles in his online store?
  9. Listening to this now. Some decent stuff if you like it raw, heavy, but melodic at the same time. Marcus Nygren (8-Point Rose, Evermoore, Enbound ) - vocals Jonas Reingold (Karmakanic, ex-Opus Atlantica, The Flower Kings) - bass Richard Andersson (ex-Majestic, Richard Andersson's Space Odyssey, ex-Time Requiem) - keyboards Jake Sandberg (Mansson, Aces High) - guitar Jaime Salazar (ex-Planet Alliance, ex-Opus Atlantica, Allen / Lande) - drums Michael Mansson (Mansson) - guitar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWPM3AOBzN0
  10. Just got an email from musicbuymail announcing "reissues" that has all the warning signs of being illegal bootlegs, in which case I'm VERY disappointed that MBM is supporting this: 1. The CDs are ONLY available through the MBM newsletter, not on their storefront. 2. The company is based in Brazil. 3. The product is CD-Rs ("silver-pressed CD-R" is an oxymoron). 4. 25 titles per month with 75 ready to go already? No way they're releasing titles that quickly if this were legit and contracts were being negotiated and signed. Text from email: I hope I'm wrong and that this is legit, but out of the gate it smells like last week's diapers. Supposed current title list (click on the images to view at full size):

  13. Press releases are absolutely fine unedited, as those are intended to be redistributed from the start. When someone goes through the effort, however, of penning a fullscale review, those usually are NOT intended for redistribution, especially when unattributed. It's like writing an article; copying it without revealing the source and passing it off as your own is plagiarism. It's original content created by the author. I think that if you post a review prefaced with "This review was written by xxxx at LINK" that should cover all the bases. In the most recent case in question, the poster made it appear that the review was his original content, which was not the case.
  14. If you are posting formal lengthy reviews of CDs here on the board, please only post reviews that are YOU have written. Do not just copy and paste someone else's reviews without attribution. Reviewers work hard to write effective complete reviews, and to just paste them onto another site as if it were your own is not only majorly uncool, but is in effect committing fraud. If you see a review that has content you feel would benefit the HH community, then small excerpts are fine, as long as you name the source and link to the original review at the top of the post. Thanks, -Dan
  15. She was BORN in the United Kingdom, but I believe that she has always been attributed as an American musician. At least all references I ahve seen, both to her solo material and with The Runaways, has been as an American...
  16. Someone emailed me asking what this song was. It sounds familiar, but I cannot put my finger on it. Looking up the episode in various online guides turns up bupkis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6qVHAJVQJ8&sns=em
  17. LOLwut? Manning has had zero connection with the Titans in his pro career, but somehow you feel he's obligated to go play for them? That's wacked. Now if you want to say you feel he should go become a coach for the Tennessee Volunteers, that would have more sanity, but even that is a stretch. He doesn't owe shit to the Titans. That would be like saying someone is obligated to go retire as a Saint because they went to LSU.
