  1. Ive been a Huge Star Trek fan since the beginning. So any New Star Trek is ok with me. TV or Movie, its all good. Just watched Star Trek Beyond. Loved it.
  2. The Revenant: A little drawn out (long) and I really wished the end would have been different. Hillarys America Democrats (in one form or another) have been a evil influence on America since Lincoln's days. What they have done, are doing and plan on doing to America & Americans is plain and simple evil. Corrupt, Dishonest, Ungodly. This documentary shows from their beginning the facts of how Democrats for decades have trapped, enslaved & ruined America. And anyone that votes for Hillary is a contributor to that evil!
  3. Captain America Civil War and The Jungle Book. Enjoyed them both.
  4. Sucks that you have to pay extra (premium channel) to see it.
  5. Good article very informative. I dont understand though why Cruz wouldnt know any of this and keeps doing what he is doing? "Novack also pointed us to Brett Schaefer, a senior research fellow with the Heritage Foundation. By email, Schaefer suggested that while the intended transition wouldn’t lead to "government ‘control’ of ICANN as would be the case in a UN body, governments will have more authority in ICANN than they do currently." I think that is what I fear the most. Why are Governments in control of it in the first place? Why cant it be privatized? We all know where bigger government leads to.
  6. Obama plunges toward Internet surrender to globalists Curtis Ellis www.wnd.com UNITED NATIONS – Will the United Nations gain control over the Internet under Barack Obama’s giveaway plan? That is the question being asked around Washington, D.C., right now. The Wall Street Journal answered with its explosive article, “An Internet Giveaway to the U.N.” The administration argues that the “transition” will have no practical effect on how the Internet operates, but Judith Bergman of the Gatestone Institute disagrees. Pointing to the U.N.’s Geneva Declaration of Principles which clearly lays out the U.N.’s designs on taking over the Internet, Bergman argues that the giveaway could, “spell the end of the current era of free speech on the Internet, as well as free enterprise.” Authoritarian governments around the world bolster Bergman’s case. China issued a statement saying, “It is necessary to ensure that United Nations plays a facilitating role in setting up international public policies pertaining to the Internet.” The Russians weighed in, arguing that, “We consider it necessary to consecutively increase the role of governments in the Internet governance, with strengthening the activity of the International Telecommunications Union [the UNs telecommunications arm] in this field… in the development of ethical aspects of Internet use.” While some might view the Russians calling for the development of the “ethical aspects” of anything as laughable, in reality it is a direct pathway toward censorship of the Web. Sens. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Jim Lankford report that the ICANN board of directors will consider language for the by-laws of the organization which will put “international human rights” as a prime consideration of the organization. In a May 20, 2016 letter to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, they argue this provision “would open the door to the regulation of content. Inclusion of such a commitment would unquestionably be outside the historical mission of an organization whose functions are supposedly ‘very limited to the names and numbers and protocol parameters which are way down in the plumbing of the Internet.’'” Yet, even with these many legal concerns, Obama continues to plunge forward to turn the keys to the Internet over to an obscure not-for-profit tax exempt organization based in California when the clock strikes twelve on Sept. 30, 2016. They are proceeding in spite of Congress defunding actions by the administration to pursue the giveaway for each of the past two fiscal years. In fact, President Obama’s violation of the defund law has so outraged Rep. John Culberson, the House Appropriations cardinal responsible for the Commerce Department’s budget, that he wrote to Secretary Pritzker, “Section 539 of the Fiscal Year 2016 Omnibus prohibits funds provided in the Act from being used to relinquish the NTIA’s responsibility for the authoritative root zone file and the IANA functions, and I will ensure this section is fully enforced. As we have previously discussed, I continue to oppose the use of any funds to plan for, prepare for, work on [the] transition [of] the Internet Domain Name System functions.” The legality of the administration’s Internet giveaway being questionable, the potential dangers of a U.N. takeover are alarming. This has Americans for Limited Government calling on Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to force through language in September’s spending bill specifically prohibiting the transition for a period of not less than two years. They are also urging Ryan to prepare for a lawsuit to stop the transition in order to protect Congress’ Article One authority. “The power of the purse is meaningless if the president can ignore it, and it is up to Speaker Ryan to take every measure possible to stop the executive branch’s proceeding with the Internet giveaway in defiance of the law,” says Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning. The time is short for Congress to act, with a Sept. 30 deadline when the contract between the Commerce Department and ICANN expires looming.
  7. Ive been reading about this for a while. This is just another step toward A Globalist one world order type thing. Another step to control our lives and take away more freedoms. The person that is currently occupying the White House is turning over control of the USA's internet to the United Nations. The reality is that the UN, with its subsidiaries, has morphed into an evil body dominated by Islamic nations, tyrannies and rogue states whose policies it legitimizes.
  8. Why are they above the law? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKKwW7-rfWU
  9. Are you voting for Drumpf because you actually like him and his platform, or are you just voting for the lesser evil? Not that I really care, as I don't follow American politics. I Like what he says about the problems with Islam. I like that he will build a wall (secure our borders) I like that he is Pro 2nd amendment. I like that he supports a strong military. I like that he will Try and get the USA out of debt. I like that he is pro Israel. Now whether these things get accomplished will have to be seen. But Hillary is none of these. Id vote for a rock before voting for her.
  10. I will support & vote for Trump. If you love & voted for Obama vote for Hillary. You will get more of the same if not worse.
  11. Im admitting I have Never EVER listened to a Rihanna song or watched a video. I had no interest. I dont listen to rap or hip hop, never have NEVER will! But because I have been a Star Trek fan All my life I watched this video. I listened to this video. And, I love it! LOL The song is beautiful. And the video is cool. It reminds me of the first time I heard a Adele song/video it was for the James Bond movie. Ive enjoyed a few of her songs since. Does anyone here listen to Rihanna? Are her songs very often like this? Very mesmerizing and soothing.
  12. Sad news for for Southern Rock fans. I didnt even know he was sick until a couple of months ago. Another Van Zant gone. Ive always enjoyed Jimmy's music. R.I.P. Brother.
  13. Ive watched this one at least a 1/2 dozen times since its release. Great movie.
  14. Thats what I was thinking. I remember the 70s and 80s Springfield being more "Rock" oriented. It was a different audience listening then. Rick still rocks. And he does have some songs that are great "rock" songs. But like a lot of bands/artists that have lasted for so long, their music seems to change some with the era's. Like I said I think he still rocks, but has a easier listening sound. And like Andrew said Pop/Rock. I think Radio friendly can be used. Except sadly, you will never hear "New" Springfield (or other artist from the 70s/80s) music on stations today. But I am enjoying Ricks new one too.
  15. I usually enjoy Denzel Washington movies. Ive heard of or seen a lot of them. But I had never heard of this one and its not that old. (2014) Watched it last night and really liked it. Like "Man On Fire" and "The Book Of Eli" Washington plays a "kind of" good guy you dont mess with. Enjoyed it very much. And just read that they are making a sequel to it too.
  16. The Martian. Enjoyed it very much. Kind of like a "Cast Away" in space.
  17. The losers are the less heard from or hardly known artists. Never heard on mainstream radio. Great internet radio stations that do bring us so many amazing unheard of artists and great music we do love. And of course you and I. Many of the large streaming sites being able to afford this and the big record labels and well known artists all benefiting. Its all about the mighty dollar$$. you would think that at least the artists would care enough to help the cause. I guess they forgot they all started unknown too.
  18. Dan doesnt play on Live365 anymore. And Im guessing it will be any station that cant afford it in this list and more. Probably Any country that plays the streams. The THOUSANDS of companies and radio outlets affected: All shoutcast stations, All icecast stations All live365 stations tunein.com stations iTunes internet radio. Windows Media Guide Car radios and players on the internet.. The list goes on & On The execution has started already with live365 shutting down operations, firing their staff and vacating their offices, January 1 2016.
  19. Honestly I am ALL for every artist getting their due pay for their hard earned work. They deserve every cent they can get. Its their property and they should receive the royalties! But the "Copyright Royalty Board" are crooks. Several years ago they tried to screw things up and now that the "Small Webcasters Agreement Of 2009" has expired they are at it again. Personally I believe that ANY airtime whether on AM/FM radio or Satellite or Internet radio is very good for the artists. Isnt it logical that the more listeners/fans hear the music the more they will want to hear it? Or even buy it? Here's how this insane system works: The new royalty rates apply to EVERY COMMERCIAL BROADCASTER at .0017 per performance. If you had 1000 listeners on at all times, each song would cost you $1.70 to play. If you play 15 songs an hour, the royalties alone are $25.50 an HOUR! That's $612.00 per DAY and $223,380.00 per year. Here's the reality: In stream advertising rates are currently $1.69 per thousand impressions. That means if there are 1000 people on line and hear an ad (commercial), you make a whopping $1.69 (less 60%). That is the "going rate" nationwide. With 8 commercials an hour, (we will use 1000 listeners as a basis here). and 1000 listeners plus a 100% "fill rate" (meaning all 1000 listeners receive an ad), you would make $13.52 an hour, less 60% commission leaving $8.11 net revenue per hour. It doesn't add up and it's designed that way: Net Income is $8.11 minus SoundExchange royalties $25.50 = ($17.39) That is negative income of ($17.39) per hour.. That adds up to a net loss of ($152,366.40) annually in negative cash flow. No small business can survive this. This does not include royalty rates from ASCAP, BMI, SOCAN or SESAC, music purchases, overhead, employees (really?), computer hardware, software, web and stream hosting costs.. The kicker? AM & FM radio pays ZERO!! They are EXEMPT from these royalties. Could you imagine if an FM station had to pay over $2 Million in annual performance royalties for every 10,000 listeners in their market? The airwaves would be silent! The only difference between AM & FM and webcasting is how the audio is delivered. I don’t care how you monetize, a small webcaster can’t come close to breaking even under these rates and neither can AM & FM. (That's why they're EXEMPT) We’d be better off sending our listeners each a check for $200 and telling them to go out and buy some CD's Webcasting is the only businesses where a large audience is far more likely to be a liability than an asset. Who would possibly want that? This is crony capitalism at it's finest. Internet radio was just regulated out of business in the dead of night just before the holiday break. We were told, " you're done." It shouldn't be like this. Everyone deserves to be heard. RAIN news stated that deliberations were going on for two years.. Really? NO small webcaster knew.. No small webcaster was notified. NPR was notified, Pandora, Spotify, Sirius/XM, college and high school radio was represented as well. ( they receive special rates for royalties the small webcaster is not privy to) The small webcaster was NOT represented. You can sign the petition to help stop this insanity and read more here: https://www.change.org/p/u-s-house-of-representatives-u-s-senate-save-net-radio-we-need-your-help-to-petition-congress-100-000-stations-will-perish?utm_campaign=fb_dialog&utm_medium=email&utm_source=signature_receipt#_=_
  20. Happy Birthday Jesus. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. The past few years weve tried to avoid making it so commercial and about gifts. I prefer it more. Just being with family. We dont all get together but maybe twice a year IF were lucky. We are having our big Christmas dinner this afternoon. It has been a happy holiday.
  21. Ive been a Deep Purple fan since I started listening to Rock N Roll (and Im Old) LOL Then came Uriah Heep, Rainbow, Whitesnake all kind of in the same sounding family. To me this is a real classic rock sound. Dont get me wrong I love Zeppelin, Kiss, Aerosmith, the Nuge and all the rest too. I think this is what Demons Eye reminds me of. Since they are (were) a Purple tribute band its understandable. I have their first CD and really like it and I will probably get this one too, eventually. A lot of people dont like cover or tribute bands/music. I always have. For me Ive always felt its done out of respect for the music and musicians. I have a lot of cover/tribute music. And when you can get someone who also loves and respects it all the same way when performing it, it makes it even all the more better. Doogie White is one of those guys. And I love his music. So Demons Eye is a no brainer for me. Listen to the music watch the whole video if your a Classic Rock fan and you get to hear a lot of what is on the new CD.
  22. Ive loved her music from the first time I heard it years ago. She has sung & played with Many awesome musicians & bands. She can sing a beautiful ballad or Rock Out like she was born to it. I love Grace Potter.
  23. If your a fan of both TSO & DIO you will probably like this. I watched it a couple of times and really enjoy it. Beside being so freakin hot, she has a helluva voice. She does have a YouTube channel too. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-nMXBQgK82btzO_srhpFZw
