  1. Very much looking forward to Future "Disney" movies. Too bad we wont see many for almost 4 years. IF even then. http://www.businessinsider.com/disney-movies-until-2019-2015-8?op=0#
  2. Watched it last night too. Borrowed it from my son. Fun to watch, but I think Ive seen enough of the "Jurassic" movies. Unless they do something completely different & new. They are getting repetitive.
  3. I Love them, but it doesnt matter to me. I was searching for the original and just saw that the "II" version was here and not the original and wondered why. They are pretty much the same arent they?
  4. Ive been a ELO (Jeff Lynne) fan for over 40 years. Ive always had some of their music around to play. I saw them in the mid 70s when a Pre-Perry Journey opened for them. The players have come and gone and around 86 the pretty much broke up. Later a ELO II was formed (not) with Jeff Lynne. Ive never heard any of their music. (am I really missing anything)? And then about 2001 Jeff released "Zoom" doing a couple TV show concerts releasing a DVD of it. But no tour. Lots of re-issues, collections and "best of's" released in the mean while. But now there is this. "Known as one of the most iconic forces in music history, Jeff Lynne’s ELO is set to deliver a new album which will be the first new ELO music in 15 years. Entitled Alone In The Universe, the album is set for global release November 13th on Columbia Records." Check out the track "When I Was A Boy" http://bravewords.com/news/jeff-lynnes-elo-alone-in-the-universe-album-details-revealed-when-i-was-a-boy-track-streaming
  5. Searching for their earlier music I see only ELO II but not the original with Jeff Lynne. Over sight or on purpose?
  6. Ive been a fan a long time and loved Royal Hunts music since the first time heard it. And a lot of it is because of D.C. Cooper. He has always been my favorite for the band. I have a lot of music featuring D.C. on vocals. I really liked John West, and enjoyed Mark Boals but never cared for Henrik Brockmann. John West's best was "Fear" and he has a helluva voice, there were some awesome tunes on the albums he did with the band but the old albums with D.C. are classic. (for me) And I have to say "Collision Course Paradox II", "X" ,"Show Me How To Live" and "A Life To Die For" are all awesome and again (for me) will go into the classic catagory in due time. Dont get me wrong. I love the band. But like Dan, listening to the samples is like listening to a lot of Jorn's music. It just begins to sound repetative and always the same. Maybe after listening to the complete songs and CD I will like it better. I hope. Just heard the complete song/video "So Right So Wrong" I didnt like it really until close to the end when the vocals and music began sounding like old Royal Hunt. What ever is going on in the first 3.5-4 minutes i dont care for. The last 3+ minutes rock. Hopefully the rest will be better. Looking forward to D.C.'s new solo CD probably more than the new Royal Hunt.
  7. Gone Girl. Started out ok. Stupid ending.
  8. Straight from the mouth of Derek St. Holmes. For anyone that enjoyed their first CD (I did/do). Check it out. http://www.nwitimes.com/entertainment/music/guitar-slinger-will-put-region-fans-in-a-stranglehold/article_0c414fb5-69ab-58e2-9be4-86694d267ffd.html
  9. Ive always liked Threshold, and Ive heard (some) Saga but never really payed a lot of attention to them. I did like what i heard but always had other taste's that took priority. Ive just listened to the whole Sagacity CD on YouTube. I really like it. Im going to have to check them out more. Does anyone else think they sound a little like Alan Parsons? I dont remember ever hearing any Saga tunes on the radio. But they sure sound like they could be more "radio friendly" than Threshold or most Prog bands.
  10. I like the Thunderstone & Kamelot the best. How do you post a video here?
  11. Ive heard of him, but dont really know of him. Comic books? Video games? Here is a cool trailer for the new movie with Ryan Reynolds. http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/7/8362209/deadpool-set-photos-ryan-reynolds-mask-off#ooid=1iZHBibzoaga9oWfeRqZfsuZV3sfx1Ay

  15. The passing of a true SciFi icon has happened. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/02/27/leonard-nimoy-spock-star-trek-dead-at-83/ He will be missed by millions of fans. LL&P my friend. For over 40 years Ive been a Star Trek fan. I believe Star Trek is what really got me into SciFi. Did anyone else know that Lucille Ball gave Star Trek its begining start on television? Here is the origin of the "Live Long & Prosper" hand gesture: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152743161567689&comment_id=10152743195947689&reply_comment_id=10152743320177689&offset=0&total_comments=56
  16. Thank You for your answers. Im guessing they only give the digital promos to people that have web sites and do reviews.
  17. Question for the guys that did the Best of 2014. Do you guys actually buy ALL those CDs? Or do you borrow some and listen or just listen to some online? There is no way I could ever in my lifetime afford to spend that kind of money buy so many CDs in one year.
  18. Do you remember where you read or heard this? About it not being true.
  19. Saving Mr. Banks and Snowpiercer. Enjoyed both!
