It really wasn't a big deal for me. I'm with Vodafone so could access it regardless on mobile data rather than hotel wifi Just thought it was interesting how far reaching the sites are that china blocks. -

That sounds like the issue is this end not China's end and sounds like CloudFront blocks Chinese IPs. -
