I agree with both points. Band names seem to be getting worse every year....

When it is a band whose first language is English, it sometimes becomes acceptable ... but only sometimes.

When it is an English speaking band, then it is never acceptable.

I have seen some of the bands on here or in the database, and my first thought is "Their name is so bad, I cannot be arsed to check them out". A bands name is the first thing people see or hear, so you should be making the right impression by having at least a decent name.

    • Have to say Judas Priest has competition for album of the year. The Warning have come in and put in a contender for the title. I guess I will have to see how I feel about both by the end of the year. It may even be a tie. Oh, and the last few days I have gotten the new Rolling Quartz and Nek! EPs and they are both brilliant. Just a shame they are only EPs and not full albums. Ghost was good, but as someone who does not care for live albums its never gonna get much playtime. Oh and since my last post, Band Maid has announced another album in September, so that's another preorder I have to look forward to.
    • I think in many ways you just summed up my feelings on the band. To be with you was my introduction back in the day so bought Lean into it, and then picked up the debut. Some cool songs on them but nothing that screamed essential band. I did buy Bump ahead when it came out, but that was pretty much enough for me as I have not bought any of their albums since. Talented with some nice songs, but nothing I cannot live without.
    • The Fifth Plead The Fifth Welcome to the War 2009 The Fifth Confessions of Man 2021 The Fifth The Fifth EP    The Fifth is a group by ex Cold Sweat singer Rory Cathey
    • It isn't classic Mr.Big for the most part but it is what it is...a band relaxing and enjoying themselves. I seen them last week and the were great live...really enjoyed it....didn't play any new songs...a mixture of some hits plus the complete Lean Into It album
    • New song 'What's This Life?'.
    • The 10th and final single from Fail The Game...
    • Quality stuff, as always from Powerwolf.
    • The Tak Matsumoto Group - TMG 2 ERIC MARTIN (Mr. Big) - vocals JACK BLADES (Night Ranger) - bass/vocals  MATT SORUM (Guns n Roses/The Cult/Velvet Revolver) - drums TAK MATSUMOTO - guitar   CRASH DOWN LOVE ENDLESS SKY JUPITER AND MARS MY LIFE FAITHFUL NOW COLOR IN THE WORLD ETERNAL FLAMES DARK ISLAND WOMAN GUITAR HERO THE GREAT DIVIDE   https://takmatsumotogroup.com/ The album will include 10 tracks, including “CRASH DOWN LOVE,” with its catchy melody that seems to symbolize the new TMG sound, “GUITAR HERO,” for which Jack wrote the lyrics with Tak (Matsumoto) in mind, and “ETERNAL FLAMES,” which features guest appearances by BABYMETAL, the metal dance unit that is expanding its activities worldwide, and features a fast-paced exchange with Eric that makes the album a pleasure to listen to. Matsumoto himself is proud of this, saying, “I was able to create a work that I can be satisfied with together with my wonderful band members.” The PREMIUM EDITION includes a Blu-ray of the complete Zepp Tokyo performance from the 2004 national tour “TMG LIVE 2004 “Dodge The Bullet””. The Blu-ray is a reconstructed version of the live footage from the Zepp Tokyo performance recorded on the 2004 DVD “TMG LIVE 2004 -Dodge The Bullet-” with unreleased footage added, making this a must-see, immersive live performance. In addition, the limited edition comes with a metal photo frame with an artist photo and the members’ autographs printed on a copper plate. It is a special item that evokes the heavy sound of TMG. The day after the album’s release, TMG’s long-awaited nationwide tour “TMG LIVE 2024 -Still Dodging The Bullet-” will begin. Look forward to the new album and the hot performances by top Japanese and American artists.
    • Just wanted to say a big thank you to Whiplash, Geoff and Glen for bringing this site to my attention. I love it. The first track is a recent one of many I've done.  The second track is an Italian ballad for my friend's Mum about her family and she loved it. My lyrical description translated perfectly apparently. You can do anything with this shit.      https://suno.com/song/13fe507a-0c5b-4b3d-ac39-47393ffb2074       https://suno.com/song/48b96504-9ac2-441f-b0d8-7820083e0b3c
