lol, was not expecting something that "heavy." Nice. His last album had some really awesome tunes and I am even fonder of the new direction.

Really interesting new album.

For anyone unaware of the concept, the album is a 20 track collection of songs from each of his favourite styles of music to write/play/record-

POP
1. "Same Heartbreak Different Day" (Richard Marx/Lucas Marx, Michael Jade)
2. "Believe in Me" (Richard Marx/Lucas Marx)
3. "Anything" (Richard Marx/Bruce Weigner)
4. "Moscow Calling" (Richard Marx)
5. "Only a Memory" (Richard Marx/Adam Messinger)

ROCK
1. "Shame on You" (Richard Marx/Jesse Marx)
2. "Just Go" (Richard Marx)
3. "My Love, My Enemy" (Richard Marx/Matt Scannell)
4. "One More Yesterday" (Richard Marx/Chris Daughtry/Jason Wade)
5. "We Are Not Alone" (Richard Marx/Jesse Marx)

COUNTRY
1. "Everything I’ve Got" (Richard Marx)
2. "One Day Longer" (Richard Marx/Keith Urban)
3. "Breaking My Heart" (Richard Marx/Darius Rucker/David Hodges)
4. "Misery Loves Company" (Richard Marx/Lucas Marx/Bruce Weigner)
5. "We Had It All (Richard Marx/Randy Hauser/Brice Long)

BALLADS
1. "Always" (Richard Marx/Burt Bacharach)
2. "Still in My Heart" (Richard Marx/Richard Page)
3. "As If We’ll Never Love Again" (Richard Marx/Gary Burr)
4. "Never After" (Richard Marx/Topher Brown)
5. "Maybe" (Richard Marx)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Makes for a really interesting listen. Must be said, of artists from back in the day, he can still often craft a song as good as in his prime, and vocally, he still sounds like gold.

For me, all the action on this album is on the first half. The "pop" section is I guess his more "typical" style of pop rock, which I enjoy. And the "rock" section is really good, with a couple of ballsier than you'd expect numbers from Marx. Love both those sections. 'We Are Not Alone' being my favourite of the good tunes.

The country songs are all okay and to be fair, not something I'd typically call country anyway. They just sound like pop rock songs but without the strong hooks of the earlier songs. 'We Had It All' is my favourite of this bunch, again, pretty much being a straight pop rock song.

The ballads are all okay, but none really strike me as a homerun. 'Maybe' is my favourite, but there's no 'Right here waiting for you' on this album, rotflmfao.
