Press release:

BEAST IN BLACK - sign with Nuclear Blast + debut album »Berserker« due in November!

International heavy metallers Beast In Black are ready to strike with might and main! The band with former Battle Beast guitarist Anton Kabanen will release their debut album titled »Berserker«, in November. Its cover artwork marks the return of the collaboration between Anton and Roman Ismailov who was the original illustrator and graphic artist for BATTLE BEAST. Additionally the band can proudly announce that they have signed a worldwide record deal with the famous heavy metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast. More info on BEAST IN BLACK's debut album coming soon...!

Anton Kabanen stated:
"Our wildest dreams came true when we made a deal with Nuclear Blast, the biggest and the best heavy metal label in the world! We are thrilled about our debut album release in November and besides the massive anthem-like heavy metal songs we'll promise unforgettable live shows all around the world as we unleash the »Berserker« album!"

The five-piece, Helsinki based heavy metal band BEAST IN BLACK was founded by Anton Kabanen soon after he had parted ways with BATTLE BEAST in 2015. By the end of 2015 the band played their first gig as opening act for NIGHTWISH. The making of »Berserker« was already in progress back then and it was completed in summer 2017. A deal was signed with Nuclear Blast almost immediately after the completion of the album.

»Berserker« continues in the style of Anton's previously composed works which include the first three BATTLE BEAST albums. One of the essential themes on this debut album is the Japanese manga and anime »Berserk«.

If you close your eyes, you're sure it's a woman singing in the verses.

Nice song.

yeah, had I not seen the video I would have thought the same in regards to the singer during the verses, pretty good tune

He sure sings like a woman.

This sounds almost like Battle Beast. Surprise, surprise...

Grabbing this one.

The battle beast CD is OK - just disjointed. Whilst I love the 80s influence they've been bringing in they have yet to match their debut for sheer quality. I'm hoping this one gets close as it sounds more visceral.

    • This one looks like a fun ride....
    • I keep sticking with the band but my initial thoughts are that this is basically hookless. I sure hope this was just released as the first single cause it is loud and fast and isn't considered the best song on the upcoming album.
    • GENERATION LANDSLIDE (Cold Sweat / Lillian Axe members) – Ruling The Street Scene (2022) online sources · NOVEMBER 28, 2022     Comprising former members of both Cold Sweat and Lillian Axe, Las Vegas’ hard rockers GENERATION LANDSLIDE release their debut album ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Fronted by Anthony White, formerly of Cold Sweat and Cold Gin, GENERATION LANDSLIDE is a whirlwind of ’80s and early ’90s-influenced American-style melodic hard rock, complete with big hooks, singalong choruses and a feel-good vibe that continues throughout the entire ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Produced by White, the album kicks off with the ferocious ‘Little Miss Lonely’, then ‘Feel the Sensation’ follows with heavy gang vocals telling the story of finishing your day job and feeling the anticipation of going wild from seeing your favourite band in concert that night from a spiritual way. ‘Love and Pain’ relates the ups and downs in every relationship and the emptiness of being alone and ‘Are You Out There?’ is a tribute to the late Thin Lizzy bassist Phil Lynott. • Australia 1 Argentina 1 (Aus 5 Arg 4 on penalties) 🇦🇺 🪃
    • USA 2, Netherlands 1. (*my prediction)
    • Sorry I meant Dance With the Dead
    • As much as I love the Synthwave genre, I'm not very adventurous towards it. I generally allow the folks here to steer me in the right direction. I don't think I've listened to Dance of the Dead.
    • I've been coming around. The cream of the crop are good. Issue I have is for every Lebrock or Midnight there are 20 shite artists. But yeah, I have been buying a bit of the best artists. For me, the best synthwave release of 2022 is Dance of the Dead. It is like the soundtrack to a John Carpenter film never made. It really rocks in places too.
