Yet another enjoyable Italian hard rock release, seems to be their second album, I kinda forgot the debut but I recall as it being kinda good, maybe this one a bit better or possibly as strong as the first. The vocal is rough and heavy and the guitar part is very nice, there are several killer solos here. Most songs are in mid and fast paced, with probably couple of power ballads, but didn't sound sappy and instead it's kinda punchy.

Songs that I think are their strongest here are 'Undying' - cool bridge and nice chorus; 'I To I' - fantastic riffs; 'Paralyzed' is really great at verse and kinda okay at chorus, slightly patchy but overall still good I guess; the anthemic 'Hottest Fire' is amazing, and my most fave track here is 'Desire' - definitely the hard-hittin'10/10 track!; 'More Heaven Than Hell' is another very nice track; 'The Dreaming' is really great at verse but a bit patchy on the chorus, shame cause it could be a massive track; the closing track 'Love Still Finds A Way' is also very good.

On the weaker side - 'Falling Up' is perhaps an average filler for me but the vocal is strong though; 'Half A Chance' is almost great, and same goes with 'Goin On', somethin' missing there so probably it's a 7 or 7.5 thing; 'Stand Up' is 7/10 or slightly lower than that.

Really impressive 2nd disc after a good but patchy debut. I didn't think we'd hear from the again, so I was happy to hear such a solid follow-up. I scored it the same as you and this is how I came to that conclusion:

1. Undying - good melodic rock opener - 7.75

2. IToI - good melodic rocker - cool chorus - 7.75

3. Half A Chance - another good melodic rocker, just off being real good - 7.75

4. Paralyzed - solid ballad but not the greatest end to the chorus - 7.50

5. Hottest Fire - another good rocker with a very cool chorus - 8.00

6. Falling Up - another good solid hard rock song - 7.50

7. Desire - good solid hard rocker - 7.50

8. Goin' On - very good stuff - great commercial rocker - 8.00

9. More Heaven Than Hell - and another - 8.00

10. Stand Up - a solid hard rocker - 7.50

11. The Dreaming - another good meldodic rocker - nice - 8.00

12. Love Still Finds A Way - another very good melodic rocker - one of the best here - 8.00

TOTAL SCORE - 78%

    • As long as they stick with the stuff I enjoy I don't mind...ill enjoy what I enjoy and they can release stuff that others may enjoy...win win for them. As Captain H pointed out other labels have already done this...they don't wanna be pigeonholed as one genre I suppose.
    • I get the feeling that they wanna sign a lot of bands but they don't wanna be seen signing to the "hair metal" label, so this makes 100% sense. I saw on here recently a post from a few months back discussing how weird it was for hair metal/aor bands to be signed to Napalm Records, and I kinda get that as it is known as an extreme metal label, but it has branched out so much over the years, same as Spinefarm. There will always be those who view things black and white (fans and bands) when it comes to things like record labels, so save on confusion and create sister labels. I could imagine them shifting their heavier stuff to a new label as well down the line. I mean lets face it, the main label is named after a Journey album, so you can kinda see why some bands would avoid them.
