Heard about this earlier today. R.I.P. to The Boss!!

Oddly enough, another Yankee legend passed away just a couple of days ago -- long time Yankee Stadium announcer Bob Sheppard (a.k.a. "The Voice of God," as the players called him), he was 99. (!)

Yankee fans around here are already sayin' that Steinbrenner must've been waiting for Bob to get to the Great Beyond first, so Bob could announce him when he got there. "Now arriving... on Cloud Nine... The Boss... George...Steinbrenner."

The game won't be the same without him.

You can say what you want about George but you can't deny that he was great for baseball and he always did whatever he could to give the Yankee fans a winner ever year. I wish more owners were like that.
