I am not sure if you have followed the news on Renaissance Records. The owner tried to sell his business on ebay:

Today I have been reading on the Glory Daze website that apparently he has been successful:

John from Renaissance Records just told me, that his label is sold to an eastern group (Japan?). The good news is that they will release some great albums in the near future (on the 23rd of february according to Amazon Japan). Among these are:

 

Michael Stanley: s/t

Michael Stanley: Shadowland

Michael Stanley Band: Heartland

Michael Stanley Band: You Can't Fight Fashion

All digitally remastered.

 

Dixon House Band: Fighting Alone (-> 9th of february)

 

The new owners of Renaissance Records will make an update of their homepage pretty soon.

I wonder if their new batches are silver pressed?

 

I have Spys, Spider, Steel Breeze and all are pressed on CDRs - very poor.

 

I'd be interested in Shanghai, Dakota etc - can anyone confirm if these are silver pressed?

My Spider & Spys are silver pressed, but must have been original pressings, although a couple of my Charlie discs are cd-r's.

 

All the lastest releases from Renaissance have been silver preseed, including the Shanghai, Tane Cain, etc etc
