So H.E.A.T have re-released their overrated S/T album a year after it's initial release, all because they got some press attention through their Eurovision Song Contest Entry. The re-release contains a bonus CD with the only new song being their Euro-entry tune (this re-release also contains a karaoke version of the same song!).

Granted it's a halfway decent song IMHO, & a nice indication they could finally be ready to live up to the hype and release a consistent 2nd disc. But if you don't want to waste your money then you could always buy the single....

C'mon man! I have that album and it's great! Their version of Fair Warning's 'Heart of summer' is stunning.

It's not that I don't like it, it's just there wasn't enough quality control when the final tracks were decided. Too many songs I have to skip through. Knowing that they can write great songs like "Follow Me" and "Bring the Stars" makes me wonder why they can't write an entire album like that.... If they do on the 2nd album then I'll be the first one to jump up & down in excitement though!

No, I'm not having that. H.E.A.T is not bad, but it's nowhere near the 2nd BFT album IMO, nor the killer new PLACE VENDOME. Both kick dirt in their face. In fact I'd take the weakest song on the PLACE VENDOME (probably "Set Me Free") over the best song on the H.E.A.T ("Follow Me").

 

P.s. Whereabouts they playing on the 18th?

I agree the BF and new Place Vendome blowing away the HEAT cd, although I do like it quite a bit. But the track "Follow Me" kicks the shit out of pretty much everything on the new Place Vendome. Of my fav tunes of 2008, it finished in 2nd, right behind "Wildest Dreams" from BF, which is probably my favorite song of the decade.

And I stand by that quote. But 'Believer', which is the weakest song on the CD is great too. It's all great. But track by track, that was still the 2nd weakest for me, I think, and there are heaps better... imo.

I think youd better re-listen to it mate. 'Changes' is an awesome tune. Great melody, perfect chorus.

Yeah, there's no fillers. From the moment I put the album on, 'Believer' was by far the weakest track for me, with that homosexual jump for joy 'YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's be poofters!' chorus, but the rest of the song kicks ass so it's not a filler. 'Changes' is fine but by far one of the more laid back and unspectacular choruses on a disc full of really HUGE choruses.

That said, 3 or 4 spins and I was completely done with hearing it....

it is a great release but the thing that pisses me off is they release a limited edition release then a normal one now I think they released another one with 2 bonus tracks !! This is really getting old !!! MONEYMONEYMONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
