What's a spinnin' in your CD player?

Bought and watched that a few weeks ago. It wasn't what i was expecting at all and took a bit of getting my head around it but still very good I like it but maybe it appeals more to a hardcore sci-fi and physics fan It's certainly on my list, but I just need three hours. I've had it for about a month and still not got around to watching it yet...note to self...watch it!!! But watched the film "A Field in England" again.....such a weird film, most think it a complete lemon but it's so odd I love it.

Big old hi fi at home for CD, vinyl, internet radio...even tapes (generally live boots I traded years ago) . CD player in the car for work...or the same thing will take a memory stick so sometimes I take out an ever exanding compilation on that. Never listen on a PC, and don't walk about with earplugs and media player thingy....but can see the appeal for people who do a load of work / travelling.

Who put those out? Or are they the Capricorn releases? Hi Bud, No not the Capricorn versions The s/t and Land of Money are "remastered" on Common Sounds and Rock the World is on Crossroads. Picked the 1st two up from http://southern-records.de/ as they were cheapest for me and Rock the World on evilbay. Not sure how kosher the Common Sounds are they are both listed on Amazon/Discogs e.t.c. although that proves nothing but I've been hanging fire for a few years on them but thought screw it...I'll never get them at this rate and took a punt......still expecting them to drop through the door in a few days as I tend to put stuff I've ordered mixed with what I've received on this thread as I always forget what I've bought afterwards (ha!), I'll let you know what the're like. Anyway Amplifier - Residue 1 & 2 ltd E.P. Led Zeppelin - Physical Grafitti (vinyl) Fleetwood Mac - Tusk (vinyl) Talked to Orville Davis a while back and he said no plans on reissuing the Hydra releases. Strangely - looking on Amazon - it looks like the 1st Hydra might have been re-released in 2014 in Japan ... mini replica album doohicky. It doesn't list a label just "import" in the amazon description so might need checking out closely. Here's the link as it's tricky to find as the title is in Japanese. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hydra/dp/B00NJ1MSG6/ref=sr_1_20?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1428952750&sr=1-20&keywords=hydra If you go to amazon sellers halfway down seller JAPANMEDIA has the description Japan 2014 Limited Edition Mini LP SHM-CD / Complete Package / Brand New Sealed / NEXT DAY Shipping In Sturdy Package Pricey though.

Played it a couple of times today ... early impressions are ... yeah, it's a pretty cool album. I think Chinatown is a neat song too not sure why folks aren't too keen on it. The only beef I have is that the production especially the first couple songs takes a bit of getting used to...it sounds almost muffled like the bass and drums have no presence, think of playing it under a pillow - I was thinking "is this another Vapour Trails (Rush)" at first. Thankfully it's not and the later tracks sound better, whether it's because I get used to the sound or they actually do sound better - I dunno, but I find when I go back to the first tracks after playing it through then I get the same impression of a muffled sound. Maybe it's my ears . All the songs are good, no fillers and I enjoyed it even more the second time I played it - so it's definitely a grower.
