  1. the first album without Jeff Carlisi in the band and they were a 4-piece here with the drums being filled in before a fulltime drummer was chosen. It is ok, but the magic must have left wtih Jeff. there are a few good moments, enough to make me pull it out every now and then for a listen. Miracle Man is classic Don Barns. Donnie's songs keeps the band's southern roots in tack here. this is a MILE better than the next offering they gave us and I'll bring that one up soon. back to Resolution. You can really start to hear that Don's vocals are changing. No longer do we have that smooth AOR sound from his vocals. It is a bit more rough and does take getting use to. On the Other hand Donnie's vocals are as good as ever. I do think they miss Jeff's music and writing influence. For the first time in a long time I will say thatthe mojority of the best songs on the album belong to Donnie. Heck, by the time Strenght in Numbers was put out Donnie's songs had just about disapeared from .38 Special albums
  2. The Next Ford Mustang Will Look a Lot Like This Evos Concept 2015 model year Ford muscle car will ditch retro styling in order to appeal to younger buyers. By Joshua Condon Mon 2:25 PM Share 164 61 It seems the Ford Mustang's long run of retro-nostalgic styling may have come to an end: according to Matt Ramsey at the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with Ford's plans and who have seen the next Mustang, the 2015 model year iteration of the iconic muscle car will retain some of the traditional styling cues used currently -- the long hood/short deck proportioning, round headlamps and shark-nosed grille -- but will also mark a "radical makeover" of the current model. Dishearteningly, the sources claim that the new Mustang will look more like the Ford Fusion than the current Mustang -- though on the plus side, they also say the new car will resemble an Aston Martin and "is almost a body double for the Evos concept car that Ford showed at the last fall." Ramsey cites several reasons for the decision to ditch the retro styling, including the need to appeal to the 80 million or so Generation Y buyers for whom the throwback cues to the original '64 Mustang don't mean as much. Sales, too, have been slipping, down 4.4 percent from 2010 and more than half from the car's peak, in 2006. The other retro Detroit muscle, the Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro, each outsold the Mustang last month. Ford has made no secret that the retro Mustang styling won't be around forever, and the Evos' sheetmetal has aggression and charm to spare; however, while we would welcome the cloud-connectivity and fastback styling, other details -- namely the bizarre dual gullwing doors and plug-in hybrid powertrain -- simply don't belong anywhere near a Mustang.
  3. I'm sure you are talking about the first "wish" picture. The real concept they are working with looks like a Mustang on a diet, trying to be something it is not suppose to be

  9. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Pat Summitt is stepping aside as Tennessee's women's basketball coach and taking the title of ''head coach emeritus'' with long-time assistant Holly Warlick being promoted to replace the sport's winningest coach. SUMMITT STEPS DOWN Scout.com caught up with Pat Summitt to discuss her decision after 38 years at the helm. Tennessee released a statement Wednesday announcing the move. The 59-year-old Summitt will report to the athletic director and help the women's program she guided to eight national titles. She says she supports Warlick, her assistant for 27 years and a three-time All-American playing for Summitt, as her replacement and wants to ensure the stability of the program. The move comes less than a year after her diagnosis with early onset dementia-Alzheimer's type. ''I've loved being the head coach at Tennessee for 38 years, but I recognize that the time has come to move into the future and to step into a new role,'' said Summitt. ''I want to help ensure the stability of the program going forward. I would like to emphasize that I fully intend to continue working as head coach emeritus, mentoring and teaching life skills to our players, and I will continue my active role as a spokesperson in the fight against Alzheimer's through the Pat Summitt Foundation Fund. Summitt revealed her diagnosis on Aug. 23 after a few months of trying coming to terms with dementia, which had caused her problems with memory loss both on and off the court during the previous season. Alzheimer's is a brain disease that destroys cognitive abilities over time.
  10. I'm sure we have all seen the commercials for the 2013 Mustangs.pretty sweet I must say. But now I have read that Ford wants to change the Mustang body style to a more sleek european style and get away from the "muscle car" tag it has. BIG mistake in my opinion. They tried that back in the early 90 when they were going to drop the Mustang and move the Ford Probe into it's spot. BUT what is Ford went in this direction?
  11. through another episode and yelp, i do think i will like this.
  12. I hate getting all the dishes done and turn around not 30 minutes later and there is already dishes in the sink. did the dishes today then turned around and made supper. I hate that on garbage night (trash pick-up is wednesday morning) I will have the trash out and up on the side of the road to be taken off. Then by Thursday I have another full bag of garbage? how do I fill up the trash can in 2 days???????
  13. He did, and the result was the near-immaculate W.E.T. disc. very true.
  14. I've not watched the whole thing this time (did watch it in full on DVD) but GRAND TORINO is on TV and I didn't plan on watching it but I stopped for a minute and got hooked. A GREAT movie and one I should own. I've gotta break away and try to get to bed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8Z2n534q1Q
  15. so it has been 100 years. a lot of tv specials and even a new mini-series about the tragedy. I do find the whole story interesting.
  16. Yeah, it's an old show. I just watched the pilot today and it was an ok show. for some strange reason I thought this had a syfy element to it but I was totaly wrong. I found a marathon of the show on and have DVR'd it so I'm going to watch more and see whats going to happen
  17. I think most of the time the JSS stuff taken song by song are really good stuff. When you put them all on an album they kind of run together a lot of times and the disc just kind of goes along. I would love to see him work with some of the really top writers in the hard rock music biz and see what would happen. I think an album that flows along at kind of the same tempo song after song, whether it be mid tempo or in your face just gets old quick for me. for example, song by song the Pyn Siren album is great. when I have that cd playing on shuffle with 5 other cd's there isn't a bad song on the thing. But when I just listen to the cd straight up it all just blends together and I tire of it pretty quick and can't make it thorugh the whole thing. not enough changes on it for me. JSS has a fantastic voice that I feel gets wasted and would love to see do something with a classic Bon Jovi vibe and flow to it. not an exact copy but kind of like Aldo Nova did with Blood On The Bricks to an extent. a mix of fast rockin', mid tempo and great ballads
  18. I guess out of all the mid to late boy bands Timberlake was head and shoulders above all the other talent.
  19. I was never a GnR fan. I liked the hits, how could you not but the band never interested me as a whole. I remember my then girlfriend was just going off to college for her freshman year and her roommate was a huge GnR fan.
  20. Yeah, I'm a fan. watching his duet / tribute concert on tv right now. His new Duet's cd is flying off the shelf at work. we get 20 in and 20 are gone. we get 15 back in and 15 gone. we get 35 in and, well you guess it. It is selling like crazy and I know all the country stars on it help out a lot but man, these songs are just timeless. Plus the first music from Shania since the Mutt divorce is nice to hear and as the lead off single and video was the perfect move. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAqz0AwLRjk
  21. seen them on this tour and it was really good. I think it was the 2nd time I had seen them. They were my first Concert and that was the Strength In Numbers tour with Honeymoon Suite opening
