  1. Elixir - Son Of Odin (the 25th Anniversary re-release, with a handful of bonus tracks) ... I'd forgotten just how good this album is!
  2. Jack Lukeman: Magic Days Jack Lukeman: The Story So Far - The Essential Collection

  4. Went to see Imelda May last night, with Jack Lukeman as support ... probably not everyone's cup of tea, but she turned in a fantastic r'n'b/rockabilly set - and what a voice! Jack Lukeman was a real treat - just him and a guitar, with a voice (at times) like an upbeat Mark Lanegan - bought his latest CD in the interval (and got it signed, which was cool), and have already got tickets to see him again in June ...
  5. Gonna go out on a limb here and say...... Dokken? Nope ... I saw Dokken open for AC/DC at Wembley in 1988 Dammit, I keep forgetting most people on this board are a bit older than me Cheeky!
  6. I agree to an extent. Some bands manage to change their singer and go on to bigger and better things (AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Dream Theater, etc.) ... but, for a lot of bands, changing a popular front-man does them no favours, regardless of how good - or otherwise - the new material might be (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, etc.) Here in the UK, Warrant were never as big as they were Stateside, but I can understand where people are coming from. For me, it's a similar situation to when Fish left Marillion, and Steve Hogarth took over - Hogarth's voice is completely different, and there was a time when I couldn't listen to them because, for me, it wasn't 'Marillion'. I've since come to love some of the Hogarth-era albums, and I can understand why the other members of the band continued under the same name. The band lost a lot of fans at the time, for the same reason, but have since gained a new audience. If this was a case of ONE original member using the name, and putting out new music, then I'd agree that it should be changed (see Thin Lizzy/Black Star Riders), but it's four out of the five, so I think they have every right to use the Warrant name - no, it won't be the same as it was with Jani, but they deserve a shot.
  7. 'Wayne's World' ... Alice Cooper (being Alice Cooper) ... and didn't one of the guys from Slaughter play the music store assistant? Alice Cooper is in 'Dark Shadows', too ('That is the UGLIEST woman I have ever seen!') Chris Isaak has been in a few things (not just 'Friends'.) Sting was in 'Dune' (jeez, that was a TERRIBLE film!) Angry Anderson was in 'Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome'. Phil Collins was the lead in 'Buster' ... he's been in a few other things, too, I think ...
