  1. Dokken - Under Lock & Key UFO - Lights Out April Wine - Nature of the Beast Y&T - Earthshaker Kix - Blow My Fuse A special thanks to whoever mentioned the importcds.com site! That place has excellent prices.
  2. New album "Now" out, uh, now. My link
  3. Kix easily. Ron Keel's voice annoys me. Helix is OK, but not great.
  4. I love DBT. I've only seen them once but it was a great show. Favorite albums include Southern Rock Opera, Decoration Day, and The Dirty South. I haven't even got around to their two newest ones!
  5. Oh Liam, what hast thou done? The A-Team was one thing, but this?
  6. I saw that one in the theater when I was 13! Would bands like Pure Prairie League, Poco, Ambrosia and the like fit this category?
  7. Journey - Raised On Radio Kiss - Dressed To Kill (remastered) Both from the $5 bin at Wal-Mart.
  8. Fireflight - Unbreakable The Letter Black - Hanging On By A Thread
  9. I saw her on TV the other day...that woman never seems to age! Still looks great. Bought yesterday: Shiny Toy Guns - We Are Pilots Shiny Toy Guns - Season of Poison
  10. Billy Squier's "Don't Say No" is another good one from '81.
  11. I voted for Journey just because I used to play that one over and over in those days. I'd like to point out one major exclusion: April Wine - Nature of the Beast. Now that was a great album!
  12. AFI - Crash Love American Hi-Fi - Fight the Frequency I'd kinda lost track of American Hi-Fi but I've been listening to that newest album on YouTube and it's really good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SSZAKIuDis&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAuNbQmn9p4&feature=related
  13. I've always liked this cover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKjZCCjZpss&feature=related
  14. I really like this band. The singer has a much better voice than the girl in Flyleaf IMO. Geoff, have you heard the band The Letter Black? Another good female-fronted Christian rock band.
  15. I'd heard about the Whitesnake show in Concho but didn't really care to see 'em. But Kix is one of my favorites and if they're playing I just might have to go. The Lucky Star Casino is only about a 45 minute drive from here.
  16. That's a great album of NWOBHM-ish REAL METAL. I'd also recommend the Chicago band High Spirits if you like that sort of music. They're a bit more on the "rock" side of things, but their ten-song demo sounds like it could have been recorded in 1981: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqse1JRCmpY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQv4645PfBo&feature=related
  17. The Stereo - No Traffic Haven't listened to this one in quite a while: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIPPKY3O4YM&feature=related

    Skull Daze

I picked this up a few months ago and still spin it regularly. Great songs with hooks galore. Hope to hear more from them in the near future!
