  1. That's a damn fine list right there. I'd only add Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind (my number one of the year).
  2. High Spirits-You Are Here White Lion-Fight To Survive Judas Priest-Redeemer Of Souls
  3. Official video of the song above:
  4. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts - Greatest Hits The Sounds - Living In America The Sounds - Dying To Say This To You
  5. Damn she fine. You know, I still don't have the newest album because for some reason Mardel (the big Christian bookstore here) doesn't carry it. And I've looked twice. Maybe the band isn't "christian" enough for them anymore. I know I could just order it, but...
  6. Armored Saint - Delirious Nomad Cjss - World Gone Mad/Praise the.. Fastway - Waiting for the Roar Heavy Pettin' - Lettin Loose (been wantin' this FOREVER!) Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny
  7. I like both bands a lot, but Kix gets my vote. More energy, more dynamic songs IMO.
  8. BMX Bandits (1983). Australian fluff about a group of BMX-bike ridin' teens who get mixed up with some bumbling bank robbers. Semi-famous for being Nicole Kidman's first movie.
  9. I thought it was pretty good and could turn out to be quite a fun series to watch.
  10. I didn't have much money as a teen in the 80s, so buying albums "blind" was always a risk, but most of the time it worked out favorably. Most of my buying decisions were based on magazine reviews, advice from friends, and (dumbly) what the album cover looked like. I remember going to the mall (!) record store in the Summer of '85 and buying "Ride The Lightning" and "Bonded By Blood" just because I'd read about this new style of metal called "thrash." Luckily, I loved both albums!
  11. The Michael Schenker Group Michael Schenker Group - MSG Survivor Survivor - Premonition Survivor - Vital Signs
  12. Olympus Has Fallen (2013). Plot holes and unbelievability aside, a decent action picture.
  13. I like it. Pretty straightforward hard rock. The cover reminds me of Kiss' Rock 'n' Roll Over.
  14. Social Distortion - White Light White Heat White Trash Turbonegro - Scandinavian Leather
  15. Dragonslayer (1981). Classic 80s fantasy that holds up surprisingly well.
  16. Doomsday (2008). Sure it borrows a lot from Escape From New York and The Road Warrior, but it's still a lot of fun. And Rhona Mitra is hot!
  17. Bad City - Welcome to the Wasteland Firehouse - s/t
  18. Now that's a list right there! Judas Priest - Painkiller Son Volt - Trace
  19. Fireflight - For Those Who Wait Icon For Hire - Scripted Britt Nicole - Gold (sure she's pop but I like her)
  20. Survival Quest (1989). A decent little action/adventure flick from Don Coscarelli of Phantasm fame.
  21. Just listening to the full "Scripted" album on YouTube and it's pretty good. I especially like the songs "Pieces" and "The Grey."
