  1. Well, to be fair.... you scream accolades to a lot of bands 99% of us think is pure crap!
  2. And pretty apparently on purpose. Lies, Deceit, & Treachery release "Devil" as first single and now, new BulletBoys song is called "D-Evil"?? Marq is still a major tool.
  3. This is definitely a forgotten album. Another blind pick-up in 1988. Pretty solid disc. Largely overlooked on the Scotti Bros. label. A lost gem! Here are my favorites:
  4. I keep playing this over and over. I fucking love it!
  5. What a flop by the Ravens. Embarrassing.
  6. Hmmm..... CDs nobody ever talks about anymore. Hence..... deemed forgotten.
  7. Sounds fucking awesome. The new singer kinda sounds a little like a mix of Simon and Dave. Stoked for the new album now more than ever!!
  8. On the way back machine this installment of forgotten hard rock CDs. I bought this the day it came out in 1987 and I was exploding into a full on hard rock junkie. This one blasted through me with power and precision and remains one of my all-time favorite and memorable releases. Here are some of my favorites:
  9. I was really anticipating this one back in 1992. Being a huge Gary Hoey fan, I knew it would kick ass. Some really nice tunes all around. Pretty terrible album artwork had to have chased away a lot of people. Supergroup? Not quite. But with Joel Ellis, Gary Hoey, and Frankie Banali in the band, this is definitely worth checking out. Some of my favorites:
  10. Here's another installment of my forgotten CDs threads. This time we have the band BIG HOUSE. This CD was released in 1991 on RCA Records. Blending glam and hard rock perfectly, this CD is a solid slice of melodic glam rock. Here are my favorites: Can't Cry Anymore, All Nite, and the ballad Baby Doll are the best of the rest.
  11. from internet sources: European super group SERIOUS BLACK doesn't stop. Ready for the holidays, the band surprisingly are presenting on a standalone CD "First Light", a disc of acoustic songs only available into the Ltd. Special Fan Box release of their last album Magic appeared few months ago. With a stable line up featuring members of some of the finest metal bands around (Helloween, Blind Guardian, Bloodbound, Firewind), SERIOUS BLACK are demonstrating they are not just a 'side project', having released 3 studio albums in the same number of years since formed. "First Light" features songs taken from their 3 albums, re-worked in an acoustic environment. It's a very nice idea to hear these heavy rockers in a different way, some of the songs almost unrecognizable in this stripped format. Of course, these are terrific musicians, and everything is perfectly arranged and performed. The first tracks 'Temple of the Sun', 'Akhenaton', 'Setting Fire to the Earth', 'Heartbroken Soul' are ok, a pleasant listen but only with acoustic guitars / basses / percussion. But then on track 5 'Dying Hearts'... wow, this is fantastic take on the song only with Jan Vacik's pianos and Urban breed's impressive vocals. This track / version alone worth the disc. And gets better; 'Hello Moon' adds a highly melodic set of acoustic guitars but the focus is more 'Americanized', filled with stupendous harmony vocals. Another highlight is the re-arranged 'High and Low', again with excellent pianos and vocal arrangements. Despite the 'slow' nature of this version, Urban's vocals are rough and energetic creating a great effect. Really, really good and unexpected SERIOUS BLACK release at the end of the year. Strongly Recommended 01 - Temple of the Sun (Acoustic Version) 02 - Akhenaton (Acoustic Version) 03 - Setting Fire to the Earth (Acoustic Version) 04 - Heartbroken Soul (Acoustic Version) 05 - Dying Hearts (Acoustic Version) 06 - Hello Moon (Acoustic Version) 07 - I Show You My Heart (Acoustic Version) 08 - High and Low (Acoustic Version) 09 - Sealing My Fate (Acoustic Version) Urban breed – vocals Bob Katsionis – guitars Dominik Sebastian – guitars Jan Vacik – keyboards, piano Mario Lochert – bass Alex Holzworth – drums BUY IT ! shop.afm-records.de/audio/heavy-metal/1276/serious-black-first-light-acoustic-cd-jewelcase .
  12. They have totally ruined "Holiday Road" from the Vacation movies. They play that shit 50 times a day!
  13. Holy shitballz!!!! You ain't never tell a lie!!! Fuckin' rippin'!!
  14. Boy, I could go on and on with the overly annoying commercials that they constantly play: I absolutely despise the Verizon guy, the Holiday Road car commercials, and them damn creepy toilet paper bears. What commercials grind your gears?
  15. One of my all-time favorite CDs. When I bought this on cassette back in 1990, I was blown away. Great vibe, great hooks, great sing-along choruses. Produced by Frankie Sullivan Some of my favorites:
