Nah...he just thrives on being a fraudulent, deadbeat, piece of shit, no good, lying waste of space, air and life. Is there something wrong with that?
Nope, nothing wrong with that. Sounds just like me...well, except for the "fraudulent, deadbeat, piece of shit, no good, lying waste of space, air, and life" part.

"Supernatural" is definitely one of the best new shows this season. Personally, I like how the brothers aren't a couple of bunny-huggin' pansies interested in "understanding" the creatures, but are actually hunting the monsters and killing them (or at least sending them back to whatever plane of existence they came from).
Oh yeah, and the music's cool too.

In the apartment, it's SHY TIGER: "Tails Out" making me purr.
In the truck, it's BON JOVI: "Have a Nice Day" making me, well, have a nice day!!

BON JOVI: "Have a Nice Day" (Jap.)
Lemme tell ya, if you don't have the bonus track version (UK & Japan), then you're missing out on 2 great rock songs.

'House of wax', unfortunately. That blonde girl from '24' (always forget her name) is rather beautiful, but she looked very average in that film, therefore, diminishing my enjoyment level. It was amusing watching Paris get a pole through her head though, but I was surprised she didn't manage to wrap her mouth around it before it got to her forehead...
Even for a horror fan like me, "House of Wax" was a disappointment. Took way too long to get going, somewhat picked up the pace in the middle with some fairly graphic kills/gore, then proceeded to abolish what little good will it had established by delivering a retarded ending.
Last movie I saw was "Nightwatch," a Russian film about psychic shapeshifters battling vampires for control of humanity. Super-stylish in a Blade-meets-Matrix-meets-Star Wars kind of way, but aside from the generic plot I just gave you, don't ask me to tell you what in Sam Hill was going on in this flick...

I just heard God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You from Petra and was quite surprised! Never new that Kiss covered it from them. Since the Kiss version was entitled God Gave... II i kinda figured it must be a cover version, but didn't know it was Petra. Lyrics are slightly altered I think, but still Kiss covering a Christian band is kinda fun! Like the Kiss version a lot more though...
Dusty
Just for you info Re. 'God Gave'. This is a Russ Ballard song from 'All Together Now' an album from Argent in 1972 , Petra covered it in 1977 and later Kiss as you point out.
Actually, Petra covered Russ Ballard's "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You" in 1984 on their "Beat the System" album. Being a Christian rock band, Petra changed the lyrics to reflect a more spiritual message.

whats with all the bitter comments Koogles? the jealousy and envy really isn't necessary. man, its just rampant amongst this message board!!
unbelievable!
Given that Koogs could've been far more blunt (such as, "Retrospect Records sells bullshit bootlegs") and nobody would have faulted him, since his reputation on HH is unsullied and Sam's is sullied beyond repair, I thought he handled the situation pretty well, politely stating that the Alyze he has up for auction is an original, not the Retrospect "reissue." The only thing rampant around here is Recordjnky's quick defense of his brother anytime someone dares implies he sells bootlegs. (Psssst...he does...pass it on.) Sorry, my friend, while your loyalty to your brother is admirable, it's also blind. Time to accept that he ain't a saint, he's a bootleg artist, pure and simple.
As always, just my two cents' worth.
Keep the faith.

Sebastian Bach. Most everyone else is voting for David Lee Roth, but while he was certainly dynamic, I find Skid Row to be a far better band than Van Halen and therefore am more entertained by watching Sebastian Bach on stage than DLR.

Fear Not's one & only album ranks among the best Christian hard rock CDs ever released, right up there with The Brave: "Battle Cries." While Fear Not arose from the ashes of Love Life, the superior production of John & Dino Elefante makes Fear Not far and away the better band, at least in my opinion. Where Fear Not could have held their own in the presence of, say, Skid Row, I think Love Life comes across as a poor man's Slaughter. That's not to say Love Life is bad--they're actually quite good--but Fear Not gets played at least once a month while Love Life is lucky to see my CD player once a year.

A nurse is tending a female patient who's been in a coma for 8 years. She notices that whenever she washes the woman's privates, the monitor spikes, indicating an increase in heart rate and brain activity.
She approaches the mildly-retarded janitor and asks him if he would be willing to have oral sex with the woman, explaining that this might make her literally "come" out of her coma. The man is hesitant, but when the nurse presses him, he agrees.
The nurse escorts him into the room, draws the privacy curtain, and returns to the nurses' station where she begins watching the woman's monitor. A few minutes go by with no response, then suddenly the monitor emits a loud alarm and flat-lines.
The nurse rushes into the room to find the janitor standing beside the dead woman. "What happened?!" she shrieks.
The janitor shrugs. "I dunno," he says. "I think she choked."

Singer Josh Brown has a new Christian band named *Day Of Fire* which I haven't heard yet but you can bet your middle finger that I definitely will...
DAY OF FIRE is excellent, in my opinion, a fine example of modern melodic hard rock that blows away Josh's previous band (Full Devil Jacket).
