  5. Looks like I need to pull out "Dawn Patrol" again as I never thought it was that good compared to "Man In Motion"....
  6. "Against The Law" is definitely their best release IMHO......I don't really see the comparison with Firehouse who are a fine band and who have one more release than Stryper that I consider to be excellent....
  7. I haven't picked up the Tora Tora releases from FNA but I did pick up the 2 St Warren releases (Return to Honest Planet and Rock of Eden) and they were silver pressed....although they were also digi-pack and had no inserts...so rather cheap packaging...
  8. Filler free releases are pretty rare....from the releases that I'm listening to today on a regular basis the only one that comes to mind is.... Fatal Force...S/T Damn I wish they would put out another release....

  12. And who are you to make such a bold statement ? I for one am enjoying the Retrospect releases. Not to mention the fact that the CDs are silver pressed & not cd-rs......
  13. W.E.T............W.e.t. RAGE.............Strings To A Web DREAM EVIL.......In The Night GAMMA RAY........To the Metal and the last 2 Angel releases I was looking for... Angel......On Earth As It Is In Heaven Angel......Sinful
  14. Not many other comments on the actual music here, but doods, this is really good stuff. I don't have to pretend to like it because they're half Aussie or anything... I just genuinely think this is a very good disc. Well produced too, for such an obscure release. The guy's got a good voice and the music is just good time, stereo playing in the old man's Datsun 1800B - or whatever you're driving at the time - type of stuff, good 80's rock songs. Basically, it's a good album and well worth the money. Nice on, Ray! I like the samples but I'm having a hard time justifying the $25 USD price tag.....
  15. MY TRIP TO COSTCO Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog, and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's butt and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Costco won't let me shop there anymore.
  16. I'm already hooked after the 2 hour pilot EP last week and I'm looking forward to this weeks EP.....the show stars Aaron Douglas from Battlestar Galactica fame..... http://thebridgetv.com/
  17. Definitely thought that one was a dud, mate. Modern sleaze rock/metal probably most easily compared to something like Backyard Babies maybe. You might like it as you're into a few of current sleaze bands by the looks of it... but then again so am I and I thought this was well below average. I wouldn't call it a dud but there are better releases out there......I call it decent and they remind me of Fatal Smile...
  18. Babylon Bombs..........Babylon's Burning Beckett................S/T Refugee................Burning From The Inside Out
  19. Dirty Penny............Young & Reckless Optimystical...........Distant Encounters
  20. This release gets a lot of flack from fans but I really like it....it's not my fav by the band but it has a home in my collection and gets regular airplay....
  21. Reading 'Towers of Sunset' by L.E. Modesitt, Jr
