  1. Just saw this on Yahoo, and thought I would share.. Apparently Spider Man 4 is gonna be a reboot of the series.. Toby McGuire and Sam Raimi are out..... LOS ANGELES - Tobey Maguire's web-slinging days are behind him. The 34-year-old actor and "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi will not be returning to the superhero franchise next year. Instead, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announced Monday that a new "Spider-Man" film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on Peter Parker in high school would debut in the summer of 2012 with a new cast and filmmaking team. "I am so proud of what we accomplished with the 'Spider-Man' franchise over the last decade," Maguire said in a statement Monday. "Beyond the films themselves, I have formed some deep and lasting friendships. I am excited to see the next chapter unfold in this incredible story." The announcement of a reboot comes after reports that "Spider-Man 4" production stalled amid script revisions. The original "Spider-Man 4" release date seemed unlikely last week when Paramount Pictures announced that "Thor," another big-screen Marvel superhero adaptation, had hammered out the same May 6, 2011, release date as the fourth Spidey installment. "Working on the 'Spider-Man' movies was the experience of a lifetime for me," Raimi, who directed all three "Spider-Man" films, also said in a statement Monday. "While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job." Maguire said in an interview last week that there was "great stuff in terms of story and script" for the fourth chapter and the plan was to still release the film in 2011. He also said he had specific ideas about the evolution of the character on the big screen. "Thor" experienced its own upheaval over the weekend. Stuart Townsend departed the adaptation because of creative differences, according to two AP sources close to the production. Townsend, who had been cast as an ally of the Norse god, was replaced by Joshua Dallas. The three "Spider-Man" films continually snared moviegoers, earning over $1.1 billion combined. After glowing reaction to the first two films, critical response to "Spider-Man 3" was so-so. Raimi said he was undecided about returning to the franchise after the third movie but later said he didn't like thinking about somebody else making the Peter Parker story. Sony said it would have more news about the next "Spider-Man" movie in coming weeks. http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.ap.org...an-franchise-ap Not sure how I feel about this yet.. While I agree Spider Man 3 was probably the worst of the bunch I was kinda looking forward to 4.. Will have to see Who gets cast etc....
  2. JON OLIVA'S PAIN: New Audio Sample Available - Jan. 10, 2010 JON OLIVA'S PAIN, the band led by SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva, will release its fourth album, "Festival", on February 19, 2010 via AFM Records. The track listing for the CD is as follows: 01. Lies 02. Death Rides A Black Horse 03. Festival 04. Afterglow 05. Living On The Edge 06. Looking For Nothing 07. The Evil Within 08. Winter Haven 09. I Fear You 10. Now An audio sample of the song "Living On The Edge" is available for streaming using the audio player below (courtesy of CD Inzane). Due to logistical and technical problems that could not be resolved in time, the spring 2010 JON OLIVA'S PAIN "Festival" live DVD tour has been postponed until October 2010. Although the date of the actual filming will change, the DVD concert will still be captured at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. JON OLIVA'S PAIN's summer European festival tour continues to move forward with Bang Your Head!!! and Graspop Metal Meeting appearances already confirmed. Commented JON OLIVA'S PAIN drummer Christopher Kinder: "Having just finished the recording of our new CD, 'Festival', we simply do not have enough time to finalize the seemingly endless amount of details needed to make the DVD concert happen in such a short time. Trying to plan for such a big production here in the U.S. for a show in Europe makes it even harder. AFM, The 013 and Roax Films had everything ready to go, but with stage, video production, lighting and pyro designs still unresolved, we have no choice but to move this show and the tour until October when we can be sure that everything is just right. "Our sincere apologies to the fans the promoters and everyone involved. You and your hard-earned money deserve the best JOP can possibly offer and it's better to wait a few more months to insure that this show is just that. A live DVD is very expensive to produce, and we only get one shot at it!" JON OLIVA'S PAIN's U.S. CD-release concert has been moved to Saturday, April 24 at Bourbon Street in New Port Richey, Florida prior to the band's appearance on the Triton Power Cruise (April 20-May 3). JON OLIVA'S PAIN is also finalizing May tour dates for Brazil/South America. Kinder previously stated about the forthcoming JON OLIVA'S PAIN CD, "Part of the staple JON OLIVA'S PAIN sound has become [Jon's] ability to change characters and voices at will and to create incredibly interesting, thought-provoking, passionate and downright insane vocal melodies. [Producer] Tom Morris and I have been pushing him to the edge (as Jon Oliva requested), and we have met that challenge with great enthusiasm and also a bit of joy watching him suffer.... . "Oliva's tenancious attitude, drive and full desire to do the best he can is only partially over-shadowed by the seemingly impossible task of singing songs that would require most of us to swallow mass consumptions of razor-blades in order to deliver what would be considered as torture to any metal music lover." JON OLIVA'S PAIN's last album, "Global Warning", was released in the U.S. in May 2008 via Locomotive Records. The CD features a guest appearance by guitarist Ralph Santolla (OBITUARY, ex-DEICIDE, DEATH, ICED EARTH) on two songs: "Adding the Cost" and "You'll Never Know". Check out the CD Artwork....
  3. No it sure doesn't get old.. One of the all time comedy classics!!! "That... TALLYWHACKER... had a MOLE ON IT!" "There's so much bush you could knit a sweater..."

  5. No it sure doesn't get old.. One of the all time comedy classics!!!
  6. I have owned CHAMELEON in the past. Trust me, you don't want it. But seriously, saying it's better or worse than this new one is kinda like saying having your hair set on fire is 'better' than slamming your nuts repeatedly in a car door... Oh I know I don't want to own Chameleon Man, and all I was saying was the samples I heard sounded better, but yea Yer right it's like saying having your hair set on fire is better than slamming your nuts in a car door.. Both pretty much SUCK.....
  7. Yeah, that's about how I feel too. I have long considered CHAMELEON to be Helloween's worst album but I think we may have a new champion!! I think You may be right.. I only heard samples of Chameleon, but it sounds BETTER than this load of crap......
  8. Hmm.. Good thread.. Pretty much anything by AC/DC, but especially the Bon Scott years.. Motorhead... Judas Priest.... Slayer..... OLD Metallica..... Oh Hell about anything METAL goes good with a cold beer!!!!!!

  12. Looky what I found.. They signed a deal with Metal Blade Records!!!!!!! RAVEN Signs U.S. Deal With METAL BLADE RECORDS - Jan. 7, 2010 Legendary British/American heavy metal trio RAVEN has inked a deal with Metal Blade Records for the U.S. release of its new album, "Walk Through Fire". The CD, which came out in Japan in March 2009 via King Records, was recorded at the Assembly Line Studios with engineer/mixer Kevin 131 (PROJECT: FAILING FLESH, DECEASED, DYSRYTHMIA, GARDEN OF SHADOWS). Due in the U.S. on March 30 (one day earlier in Europe through SPV/Steamhammer), RAVEN's first album since 2000's "One for All" contains 14 new songs and two live bonus tracks. "Walk Through Fire" track listing: 01. Intro 02. Against the Grain 03. Breaking You Down 04. Under Your Radar 05. Walk Through Fire 06. Bulldozer 07. Long Day's Journey 08. Trainwreck 09. Grip 10. Running Around In Circles 11. Hard Road 12. Armageddon (The Beginning) 13. Attitude 14. Space Station #5 (MONTROSE cover) 15. Live at The Inferno ** 16. Rock Until You Drop ** ** Bonus Live Tracks "Against The Grain" audio stream: Vocalist, bassist, and founding member John Gallagher comments: "We are ecstatic. We go way back with Metal Blade (we've known Brian [slagel, Metal Blade founder] since meeting him backstage at one of our shows in the U.K. in 1982!!!) so there's mutual respect. "We feel that having this killer new album, 'Walk Through Fire', and a relationship with Metal Blade, an outfit that lives and breathes this music — that UNDERSTANDS where we have been and what we've been through, will show that we are not trading on past glories but that we are a band that continues to be relevant… and kicks ass more than ever before! "We've set the bar high here with this album and are happy to have a partner willing to get it out there to the metal fans and spread the word. This is the RAVEN album the diehards have been beating us up for… and then some!" Metal Blade Records' Michael Faley comments: "We are excited and proud to be releasing the new album by RAVEN entitled 'Walk Through Fire'! This record has garnered tremendous reviews worldwide and combines all the strength and power that only the Gallagher brothers can deliver, rock-solid METAL! With a career that has spanned over 25 years, RAVEN is back with a CLASSIC album." In an April 2009 interview with Powerline A.D., RAVEN bassist/vocalist John Gallagher stated about "Walk Through Fire", "We took a lot longer to get this one done... and usually after you record an album, you mix it quick and its done. We had the chance to sit with it and tweak it, if needed. I don't think we have ever had that luxury before, so it's got the good songs that were worked on over years in some cases — but recorded in a burst of lunacy — and then listened to and polished to a fierce shine. This album just rocks from start to finish and sounds and feels fresh — it's the real deal. It's varied but it's all 100% RAVEN!" Regarding the band's decision to cover MONTROSE's "Space Station #5" for the new CD, John said, "We used to do it back in the clubs in the northeast of England. It seems we always come up with a fun cover and this one was cool to do. The middle part is nuts with the crime jazz/surf guitar and fretless bass, but overall it's pretty brutal." Upcoming RAVEN shows: Apr. 03 - Lübeck, Germany - Rocktower Festival Jun. 12 - Sölvesborg, Sweden - Sweden Rock Festival Jun. 18-20 - Clisson, France - Hellfest Jul. 29 - Brande bei Elmshorn, Germany - Headbangers Open Air Following a forced layoff through half of the last decade due to Mark Gallagher's long recuperation from a serious accident where Mark's legs were crushed after a wall collapsed on the musician, the band has fought back with a number of European festival appearances, a U.K. tour in 2008 and a triumphant jaunt to Japan in 2009. RAVEN is: John Gallagher - Vocals, Bass Mark Gallagher - Guitar Joe Hasselvander - Drums I can't WAIT!!!!
  13. I did enjoy "Hellraiser" So I will be checking out the new one.....
  14. And Nazis.. Let's not forget Nazis......
  15. As I said, "The Marine" is totally ridiculous, borderline retarded, and completely ludicrous... in the best possible way. There is no reason to bother with "The Marine 2" for the same reason there's no reason to bother with "Road House 2." Neither can be topped. They made a Road House 2???? For the Love of God.. WHY????? By the way I LIKED both Transformers movies.....
  16. Excellent pics Man!! Looks like You were right up art the front of the stage!! Cool!!
  17. As someone who LOVES Wednesday 13?? I am DIGGING this!!!!!
  18. Yea I forget to mention how TERRIBLE Scott Hall looked.. Damn His face is all bloated and shit.. Get His ass into rehab and then into a gym to get back in shape..... I would also pay to see JJ Hit Hogan about a million times with a guitar.. That would make Me smile.. Defenitely..... And I Heard Bret is gonna meet Vince at WM in a Street Fight, cause He really can't handle a straight wrestling match, but a brawl?? Yea He can do that, long as there's NO shots to His head, and I think Vince would understand that..... And I think RAW beat TNA Impact just on that first segment with Bret and Shawn.. That was a long time coming and I was VERY happy to see those two finally bury the hatchet.....
  19. Well I watched both RAW and Impact.. and I gotta say.. While TNA had it's moments?? RAW was the better show.. By FAR!!! I Mean Hogan's BIG speech about doing things "The right way" Then to end the show with an nWo style beat down of Mick Foley?? Gee, deja vu anyone??? Yea Impact got a 1.5 rating last night.. I would bet RAW got at least a 3.0 or so..... Also did anyone notice 2 of the matches they hyped at the beginning NEVER happened due to backstage beat downs?? Way to let the fans down.... I was looking forward to a barbed wire massacre match too.... I don't think TNA is ready to go head to head with RAW just yet....... Maybe in a few years, but not right now.....
  20. Yea the Marine IS pretty bad ass isn't it?? I gotta admit John Cena CAN act!! I also have His next movie 12 rounds, but haven't sat and watched it yet, I plan to soon.... I am curious about The Marine 2 with Ted DiBiase Jr....... May have to buy that if I see it for ten bucks or something.....
