  1. Brighton - Promise Of Love Work Of Art - The Great Fall (CD-single)
  2. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the signing of Swedish AOR band Houston for a multi-album deal. The band is hard at work recording their yet untitled fourth studio album under the direction of former member and AOR guru Ricky Delin, who will co-write and produce the new album. “It feels good to have Ricky back behind the wheel on this album. He is an incredible songwriter and we all know the great work he’s done on our previous albums. This will be the Houston album above all others,” says singer Hank Erix. “We’re truly excited about the new music that we’re working on. We knew right from the start that we wanted to go back to our roots and make a classic AOR sounding album again. After all, this was the sound that put us on the map in the first place and what we do best. Sonically, the new record will be the more refined sibling to our first two albums. We’ve had a decade to grow as songwriters, musicians, and most importantly as a band and I think this really shows,” adds Carl Hammar, the band’s guitarist. ”This album and the songs are one big homage to our favourite AOR heroes such as Survivor, Foreigner and Journey, but also influences from John O´Banion, Meatloaf, John Farnham, and many more. We wanted to make a great AOR album and make it big, fresh, and truly bombastic. And if you want to make a bombastic AOR album, Ricky Delin is the go to producer. Ricky, who played a big part in creating the Houston sound on our first albums, was as excited as us about the idea of working together again and jumped at the opportunity,” continues Carl. Houston released their self-titled debut album in 2010 and landed at number one on Classic Rock Magazine’s AOR chart that year, beating out some stiff competition. The band then went on to play the festival circuit with appearances at Sweden Rock, Download Festival (UK), and Rock of Ages (Germany), as well as touring the UK with Swedish sleaze rockers Crashdïet. Houston’s second album, “Relaunch” featured a cover song called ‘Runaway’ that became the soundtrack to Red Bull’s own Danny MacAskill’s Extreme BMX video ‘Imaginate’ which has almost 100 million views on YouTube and over 1.3 million plays on Spotify and counting. ”It feels great to be part of the Frontiers family, to work with a label that shares our taste in music and has the muscle to get it out to the masses. Needless to say, many (if not most) of our heros are signed to Frontiers so they are definitely doing something right. Houston and Frontiers deserve each other!” concludes Hank. Fans can look forward to another classic AOR masterpiece in the making with a release pencilled in for the end of 2021/early 2022. www.facebook.com/Houstonsweden

  7. More info from Escape Music: Vince DiCola is a musician / songwriter from Pennsylvania and relocated to LA in 1981 to advance his career. This proved to be a wise move (see a partial list of credits below). Vince grew up listening to bands such as Genesis, Yes and ELP so progressive rock was high on his list of influences. In the early to mid-eighties Vince was involved in some well-known film scores such as “Staying Alive”, “Rocky IV” and “The Transformers:The Movie” and his song writing abilities shone through at a very early stage. Fans may also remember Vince’s collaboration in the 1990’s with Doane Perry (Jethro Tull) and Rick Livingstone (Agent) on the highly regarded “Storming Heaven” release. Vince has been involved with some of the best musicians in the business over the years and the 13 songs listed here have been co-written and feature artists such as Bobby Kimball, Jason Scheff, Steve Walsh, Rick Livingstone, Roger Voudouris, Stan Bush, Mark Boals and Ellis Hall. The songs are just fantastic and the progressive element is particularly highlighted in the epic “Suffer the Children” featuring Steve Walsh. Comparisons to Toto, Chicago, Kansas and many other melodic rock bands can be heard throughout. “Only Time Will Tell” is indeed a great album. Any one of these songs could easily be part of a big movie soundtrack and each song has its own individuality. And of course this album features some outstanding vocalists and musicians. A highlight of 2021! Track list: 1- Bound & Gagged 3:49 (Lead Vocal: Rick Livingston x Thread / Agent) 2- Karla 4:42 (Lead Vocal: Vince DiCola) 3- Miracles 4:06 (Lead Vocal: Jason Scheff of Chicago) 4- Just Hanging On 4:13 (Lead Vocal: Ellis Hall x Tower Power) 5- She’s My Last Mistake 4:24 (Lead Vocal: Stan Bush) 6- You’re Not Alone Tonight 4:41 (Lead Vocal: Vince DiCola) 7- Stay/Exit Wound 5:27 (Lead Vocal: Bobby Kimball x TOTO) 8- Only Time Will Tell 4:32 (Lead Vocal: Steve Walsh x Kansas / Street) 9- Broken Glass 4:41 (Lead Vocal: Steve Walsh x Kansas / Street) 10- Living in a Daydream 4:11 (Lead Vocal: Mark Boals x Yngwie Malmsteen) 11- No Risk, No Glory 4:19 (Lead Vocal: Bob Reynolds) 12- I’m Not in Love for Nothing 6:29 (Lead Vocal: Vince DiCola) 13- Suffer the Children 8:34 (Lead Vocal: Steve Walsh x Kansas / Street)

  10. Press release: Dear friends, I’m happy to announce, I am recording a new album called Duel. When I moved back to Los Angeles at the beginning of 2020, it was with the sole intention to make music. I had tried for a long time to rediscover my love for the guitar, it took a while, but during this last year, my passion for rock n roll has returned stronger than ever. I can honestly say this is the most inspired I’ve ever felt in my life. I had taken a long break from music, living in Berlin, Germany, to pursue other interests. It was a time of immense growth, I ran my own business and made a lot of money, but I was always thinking of one day returning to Los Angeles. Now I’ve finally figured things out in my mind and have a clear vision of what I want to accomplish. To put it simply, I want to make a great rock n roll record, with great songs, great production, and great artwork. I want every aspect of this album to be perfectly executed. As a musician, I feel I’ve only just reached the point where I can be confident enough in my abilities to pull this off. ‘Back on the Strip’ is the first song we recorded for Duel, and wanted to share it with you all to give you a taste of what’s to come. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I challenge you to a DUEL! This song is dedicated to the history and legacy of the legendary Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. WALLNER VAIN is a collaboration between British guitarist Will Wallner and Croatian singer Vivien Vain. ‘Back on the Strip‘ is autobiographical, telling the story of how they recently moved back to Los Angeles in 2020. The musical duo moved back to LA with one purpose; to record a great rock n roll album. They found an apartment just off the Sunset Strip, right across from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, and as fate would have it, it was also the former home of legendary Motorhead frontman Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilminster. Back on the Strip is the first single from their new album ‘Duel‘, which is set for release in 2022. 11. New lyric video for 'The Devil Of Liverpool'.
  12. New video for 'Isle of Misanthrope'. From grande-rock.com: Former Styx frontman Dennis DeYoung is back with the second volume of his fond farewell to recorded music, “26 East, Vol. 2”, due out on June 11th, 2021. As with the preceding volume, “26 East, Vol. 2” once again hints strongly at DeYoung’s rock roots with Styx. The production and musicianship are EPIC, and those timeless vocal arrangements get delivered in spades. A fitting goodbye and a final signature on an outstanding body of work which will stand the test of time! DeYoung has previously stated that “26 East” will mark his retirement from the world of recorded music. It was thanks to Frontiers CEO, Serafino Perugino, that given the abundance of material, Dennis agreed to split the album in two parts. This second half starts where the previous one left off and sees DeYoung collaborate again with the awesome Jim Peterik, a fellow Chicagoan and nearby neighbor, for the songwriting on select tracks. “The last album was supposed to be my final album, but there were so many songs written that Serafino Perugino, CEO of Frontiers, suggested dividing it into two albums rather than one”, DeYoung states. “26 East” was the address where DeYoung grew up in Roseland, IL on the far south side of Chicago. This is where the band was formed in his basement in 1962. Across the street lived the Panozzo twins, John and Chuck, who along with DeYoung would go on to form the nucleus of Styx. The process that brought forth the album beginning in the first place started when Jim Peterik, a fellow Chicagoan and nearby neighbor, sent a song to Dennis. “If not for Jim Peterik’s encouragement, talent and prodding I would not have recorded this music”, says DeYoung. “He once told me the world needed my music; to which I replied "have the world text me for verification". We collaborated from the get go, happily and seamlessly and at this time we have written 9 songs together of which five will be on Volume 1. Just two Chicago guys doing what they do best, making music and having a laugh”. Line-up: Vocals: Dennis DeYoung Drums: Mike Morales, Ed Breckenfeld, Matthew DeYoung & The Late Khari Parker Guitar: Jim Peterik, Mike Aquino, August Zadra, Jim Leahey Solo on “Last Guitar Hero”: Tom Morello “The Great Houdini” Bass: Jim Peterik, Jim Majors, Me on Synth Bass. Keyboards: Me & Why Not? Horns on “Hello Goodbye”, “The Ides of March”: Tim Bales, Steve Eisen & Henry Delgado Accordion: Mr.Tacit Background Vocals: Jim Peterik, August Zadra, Kevin Chalfant, Suzanne Deyoung, Tito Gobi, Craig Carter, Mike Morales & Me. Mostly Me, I Work Cheap And Was Always Available. Besides My Voice Always Reminds People Of A Very Popular ’70s And ’80s Group. No, Not The Pointer Sisters. Michael Manson Gospel Group on Your Saving Grace Matthew DeYoung would like to dedicate his performance on the Grand Finale to his mentor John Panozzo. The ride cymbal Matthew used was given to him by John. www.dennisdeyoung.com www.facebook.com/DennisDeYoungOfficial
  13. New lyric video for 'Flesh & Bone'.
  14. Press release: Edge Of Paradise announces new album “The Unknown” and partnership with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury Records. US-based hard rock act Edge Of Paradise used the time of the COVID-19 pandemic to create their fourth studio album—which is, as the band describes, their most dynamic, cinematic, and thought-provoking album to date. Singer Margarita states “Being in a band, we learned how to make something positive out of any situation. And in a weird way, 2020 turned into one of the most creatively fulfilling years for us.” Regarding the new album, Margarita says, “We like to push the boundaries of reality with our music. I pour my soul into every word, and aim to create an otherworldly, larger-than-life setting for the songs to exist in, with the goal to take the listener on a journey through endless possibilities. In this album, we explore what our future might look like, as we merge with technology, as we make new discoveries and blur the lines of science fiction. Could our souls exist in a digital space? Could we coexist with the rise of artificial intelligence? What would the world look like, if we see past the boundaries of our body and mind… would it make us feel more connected or alone? And most of all, this music sends an empowering message: to find strength in the unknown.” The band started recording at the end of 2019 with producer Mike Plotnikoff, who brought in Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace to co-produce. “It was cool to have Neil’s perspective; he really brought out the focus of the lyrics and melodies. It takes Dave and I a long time to build the songs; we nurture each part until we bring them all together to create a song.” Shortly after, the partnership evolved to the band signing with Grammy Award-winning producer, Howard Benson of Judge & Jury Records. “It was amazing to start working with Howard; he really elevated the songs to the highest level and brought out the best in us. We are also back with Jacob Hansen, who mixed and mastered our previous album, “Universe.” Mixing is such a crucial piece of the puzzle, and we trust Jacob, as he does an incredible job with the final step: bringing these songs to life! With a great team supporting the band, Judge & Jury Records and Frontiers Records, Edge Of Paradise is excited to expand their dimension and bring it to all corners of the world! The band puts great emphasis on epic visuals to support their music and has already filmed two music videos to support the release of the first two singles from the album. On working with Scott Hansen of Digital Thunderdome Studios, Margarita states, “We love working with Scott and his crew; he really gets our vision and turns our music into visual art!”
