Looking at the history of VR since the passing of Carl, one thing is clear...its time to put it to rest. VR cannot keep the same line up from album to album, which should tell them something. VR is still one of my favorite bands, but this is getting silly

I cannot believe how MM keeps getting dragged into all of this... Here is my question. Who did MM sign a contract with for the reissue? Ron or the label?

OK, so I went and read the posts at NRR... Why did vegascds blow off at Ann on that board? She had asked a simple question, and all of the sudden its defense mode, and attacking the NRR label for what it does?!! Man alive, this is gotta be the craziest crap I have read in a loooooooong time. The story doesnt always ring true, that any press is good press. All thats happening is this garbage is now dropped into a different bucket, and its all downhill from here. (as if it wasnt already heading that way). I dont care either way about RR, because I choose not to worry about the stuff being released. Bootlegs/non-bootlegs/silvers/purples/yellows...whatever. Its of no business to me if others buy or dont buy, so I dont know why this is such a damn issue. Here is my advice to those who do come back to defend/justify/argue on RR behalf. Do you guys realize the quickest way to have this stuff stop is to flat out stop responding? The longer you keep coming back and running this stuff through the blender the longer its going to continue. Go spend the time worrying about other stuff if the opinions of people on this board doesnt matter like everyone claims.. Its just a discussion board right? Lets wrap it up, turn out the lights and call it done.

Im sure a response to this thread is gonna take some serious thought and planning...

80smetalcollector, Dude why dont you just drop the HH board? If business is booming, you have no need to be here wasting time with this... Why keep trying to justify and explain everything? Nobody on either side of the fence is going to budge, so why try?

So, the Vyper album is being transfered from an LP copy then? Just out of curiousity who is doing the master work and transfer of the music?

Well, those are not the titles Im talking about..$29.99 for Friction, 40 bucks for Rock Bolevard, $20 for Vyper... Plus many of these 14.99 prices are for albums that are the length of en EP... Suppose it doesnt matter to me though, because I havent planned on purchasing any of the stuff anyways...

Maybe people wouldnt be so fast to make an issue out of all of this if the discs were offered at a much lower price...

DO NOT hesitate to order from Metalages.com I have ordered from him many times, and never ever a problem..he is indeed just gutting out his stock to focus on other things.

Im just curious of something... If Retrospect is only going to press 100 copies of these titles, what good does it to set up distribution outlets overseas? Are these outlets going to be limited to only 10 copies of each title? Why would they want to bother spending the time on such a small number of CDs?

You made a huge error in knocking Retrospect Records , and you'll find that out in about a year when EVERYONE (excluding the few jerk-offs that nobody cares about at HH) will be talking about how FAIR that label is and when there are 250+ bands on the label. This brings up a question.... If nobody cares what anyone thinks on these boards which you claim, why in Gods name has this whole thing turned into this dog and pony show? Obviously you seem to have some sort of "care" because of the time trying to defend your label. Why not take the high road and not even bother posting here? If you really didnt care, then that would be an easy move right? As far as the Kidd Wikkid album goes, my advice is for the band to do a reissue if they wish. This way, they get out of it exactly what they want, and can collect all the $$$ from the sales. It is obvious the bandmember posting here is very concerned about his music, as well he should be. I respect the fact you have put blood sweat and tears into your music, as well as a bunch of money. Do whats right my friend, and you are justified in your feelings in all of this.
