Rock Candy is a BOOTLEG!
Retrospect Records replied to Metal 4 Ever's topic in Shout it to the World!
Metal Mayhem / Old Metal / Majestic / Krescendo have been booting shit for years - I don't hear anybody bitching them out... -
I'd release GARRISON's material in a heartbeat but have no contact info for the band. KILLER AOR. I heard Kev Hellraiser's new label was going to release it but that was like a year ago and no word has been heard from since. WTF?? Give ME this shit!! LOL

Gunner(formerly Gunner Sixx) - Desire
Retrospect Records replied to heaven&hell's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
yes. Costs me about $800-900 to press 1,000 discs , depending on inserts. -
If you don't "perform" because your setlist is shortened , that's just poor judgement in my opinion. They should feel privileged enough to be at FF and I don't care if you play 3 or 4 songs - you give it 110%.

We are discussing the second album but they really wanted too much upfront to record it. -

Obviously I dig these guys too , some real promise with them. These guys and watchmen are the top 2 bands in Argentina in my opinion. -
My problem is that these guys can't pull it off live.
-
Bwahahaha. Oh this is gettin good!!

Swallow me numbnuts. Paying bands little or nothing? Lmao. I was the first label on the planet to pay MORE % to the artist than i ever got. When you grow a set you can have an opinion...til then shut your filthy fuckin pie hole. Fuckstick.

Name any other label who has released over 500 albums AND most of all, reunited many of those bands for FOUR big rock festivals in the last 6 years. You can't. Any money I have made has been reinvested in the scene and the bands. PERIOD. My passion for the scene is unmatched and I challenge you to find anyone who has met me in person to disagree with that statement. I've said it before and I will say it again , there was a majority of this site who crucified me in 2005 saying I would last 6 months...it's been 7 fucking years....

It's tit for tat. I am upfront about what I sell. PERIOD. People know what they are getting. My releases have been booted and I accept and expect it. I also am well aware that many oop retrospect titles are fetching close to 100 bucks. It is a revolving door. I know tons of people on this site who also have no room to talk. 'Ripping off bands for years'?? Fuck you dude, I have done more for the 80s reissue scene then any other label. PERIOD.

Oh guys. I didn't mean the label rock candy. I meant the rock candy 'sucker for a pretty face' CDs. Easy to confuse. . And hope to get JJT soon in 2013.

Weird how Michael Voss didn't even know about the Casanova re-issues from that Divebomb label though....and don't even get me started on Majestic Rock , Krescendo or Metal Mayhem....
-
I didn't mention Rock Candy. I actually believe they go through the artist to make it happen...for the most part. I've been impressed with about half of their releases personally. Some I'm like ?
