  1. Yes! some of these fuckers in europe man! I just got rid of some of my personal stuff cause I was hard on cash, I specifically put "Shipping Within The US ONLY!!!!" so what do I get? an email 2 days after I post, "U ship nowhere outside US or no" so I figured id be cool and find out where this person was, I explained to him im just selling some of my cd's cause im hard on cash, and I don't really want any kind of hassle, he shoots back"why you no sell me the cd? You ship outside overseas, I buy right now" so he's going to buy it now, Fuck! I'll send it to the moon if you want to buy it now, $5 postage, (he was in Hungary) so I wait, about a day and a half later, he hit's the buy it now, as soon as a bid went up on it, then the next day, I get an email saying "I pay you for that cd next week okay" cocksucker!!! so I got paid yesterday, for a cd he purchased off buy it now almost 2 weeks ago, Im not going to post his name untill I see how the transaction get's finished(im not stupid) but I was wondering, as irritating as this whole scenario was, should I write it off as just a lesson learned? or is this fucked up and I should do something about it? it doesnt seem like that big of a deal, but it made me so goddamn furious, I about broke my mouse. a little insight would be way cool.
  2. Ive gotta step in on this one, first of all I live in Utah(America) and anybody that reads this that lives in the good old U.S.A. would be lying if they told you different, here, the music industry builds it's entire empire off of peoples one dimensional stupidity, one band catches on and there will be at least 100+ clones signed thereafter, your force fed what they shove down the tube, the average american doesnt put much thought into this, so they fall right into the trap, nobody ever stops and thinks outside the box, like hey this shit sucks maybe somebody somewhere is putting something good out, Musical Talent is a non issue here, as a matter of fact, it's uncool, the more simple minded and novice your band sounds the quicker you'll be signed, now living in this climate and being hungry for GOOD!!! music, I turned to file sharing, Audio Galaxy to be exact, I would type in bands out of an old metal catalouge, or type in a band like Blue Tears and follow the trail, if it werent for file sharing, who's knows how many great bands I would have missed out on, Emerald Rain comes to mind, I now own all there cd's, of course I buy the cd's, no copy in existence can equal an original copy, at least in my mind it's not even close to the same, but you see all the music I discovered filesharing has to be imported, so the brainwash lemming machine isnt getting a penny of it, and the general public is just not buying anything, they would rather download that 2minute Green Day masterpiece then buy a whole album that just has a bunch of shit, I debated Orrin Hatch, Republican Senator from Utah (and paid bitch for the R.I.A.A.) I said "If Ive got that song My Sharona stuck in my head, im certainly not ever going to run out and buy the cd, I'll download the song, and if I can't download the song then "Oh! Well" guess it'll just be stuck in my head", either way im not buying the cd, so your not losing out on anything, the music industry is losing money because they are peddeling shit!!! plain and simple, when they start releasing good music(or if they do)?? it'll be so obvious, they will stop losing money. But as long as they have a good scapegoat in filesharing, they will keep using that excuse. And now the whole genre of "Metal" in america is warped, you'll find such classics as Slipknot, Korn, and Limp Bizkit filled under the tag that you used to find Motley, Judas, etc. I went out a couple weeks ago to find a Night Ranger - Man In Motion CD, I wanted to hear Right On You, not only could I not find Man In Motion along the wasatch front, the only Cd's I did find were Neverland and Midnight Madness, that's it.. pretty sad.......
  3. Well theres plenty of other people that have label control out there that like playing up the market, I won't say any names but theres a certain cd out there that's been going for as high as $500 on ebay, well obviously people are going to start bootleging it, and instead of realising that and doing something about it, the person who ownes the rights to this cd start busting balls and prosecuting, now this is an album that came out at the very first of the cd era, and there were never really that many printed to begin with, now if I were in this band and their was that high of a demand for my cd that people start pressing bootlegs, and I was just unlucky enough to have the rights to my music owned by a neurotic, grandstander, who is also very uninvolved and greedy at the same time, I would be very unhappy, and instead of prosecuting these bootlegers, this person needs to think about maybe doing something about it, well now they are, but this person doesnt care about this cd, they don't re-master it, ad additional songs, etc. they serial number it, and get them out there so THEY!!! don't lose any money from these bootlegs, im not a bootleger nor am I a rep. just a collector who's made a very substantial finding, and it's to bad I can't say any names, but im sure you have a pretty good idea. I think Sams doing a great service, I don't know him or anything about his label, but it seems to me, he actually cares about what he's releasing, some of these bands on his label would never see the light of day from any other labels, and it's shit that I know I listened to along time ago, so I don't get why everybody on here is bagging on Sam, unless you all know something I don't??? but like a said im not in the loop like a lot of you, so I may be way off course here, but I don't think so.
  4. Heaven and Hell, Safe Home did pretty well, considering it's Anthrax, I saw them perform Safe Home on Conan, and on the other late night show, with the dude that used to be a VJ on Mtv, the pretty boy, Carson whatever, they did an unplugged set of safe home and they kicked ass on that one, I don't know how good or bad the cd itself sold, but making the late night rounds counldnt have done it any harm! and for better or worse, it was great to hear the fans energetic reactions to the song, a lot of people still harbor the "Anthrax! don't they worship satan?" type of mentallity..
  5. Ten! I liked the guitar work on it. it sounded like Y&T was actually a mature talented band. but the classics are all killer, I liked Struck Down, and im sure there arent very many people that liked Struck Down.
  6. Eyes. but Swallow That Load was a pretty good jam by Skrapp Metal
  7. Im an Anthrax fan from way back in the day, and this might be anti-anthrax or whatever, but John Bush put that band on a level that could never be reached by Belladonna, he's a million times better vocalist, and has more then one variable to his style of singing, and unfortunatly I can't take them seriously again unless Bush sings for them again.
  8. Nothing mind blowing, but I do think the song Bad To Love fucking rocks!
  9. I had to go with Dr.Feelgood, that album brings back nothing but GOOD!!!! memories.
  10. Almost didn't know how to act listening to a Poison Cd that produced quality and talent from the guitar section!!! I'll have to admit Poisons sub average green day comparible guitar work, I believe prevented a mid-card mainstream glam band, from moving into that upper category, where they wouldnt just be Poison(ha-ha-ha) Poison would have struck a more respected chord in metal conversations and history, in the mold of mabey, Baton Rouge, Southgang, Skid Row. etc. thats just how Ive always viewed it, and to recognize that this was Poisons Cellar Dwellar speaks highly of the listeners ear!!
  11. LET IT GO!!!! I liked, On Through The Night, so I was excited to pick up High and Dry, then came Let It Go!!! it's just one of those few songs, I have a list of a few songs that I just cannot listen to without Jamming it as loud as I can get it, just as the intro starts in you feel it push your blood, muscle, and hand towards the volume button, without thought. and in my opinion while scoring many other great songs, and I think even trying to replicate Let It Go (Rock Rock till You Drop) Def Leppard hit the pinnacle mark on my music rock meter with that 1 song, and unfortunately could never top it, as far as my ear went!!!
  12. If this is the same Barren Cross song that im thinking about, My friend searched for years for it too, he finally got one from a christian booth at the swap meet 2 years ago, hell of a place to find it, now that's looking everywhere for it!!! i'll ask him to make me a copy and i'll email you the mp3,
  13. There Now! that's why this is the only board id ever do a best guitarist poll on, I almost did that poll, but both Night Ranger guitarist serve their own purpose in the band and decided it was really unimportant, im a guitar player myself, you can still rock in america was the first song I ever played at a recital, they are two very talented guitarists who play complicated riffs, at times they don't but when they do, they really do, but they wouldnt be anywhere if they hadnt had studied the technical and complexed guitar theory writtten by Kurt Cobain!!! and I think we all understand that???
  14. Does anybody have any mp3's or clips or the whole cd? I wanna hear these guys bad, but not $45 bad, unless I hear them first, I noticed they were on HH, with reviews, so I was looking for somebody that had the cd! thanks.
  15. Those all represent the new sound, but not the new sound of Hard Rock, Creed Fckng blows, they just sound like a rip off of Pearl Jam who also Blows, Alter Bridge?? isnt that just Creed? without the showman, I do have to say I saw the Alter Bridge video and that guitar player actually played a Solo, a decent solo at that, but the song just sounded like all the other american generic garbage that is the real reason the music industry is going under, I havent bought a cd that I didnt import for 3 years, (accept Night Ranger the other day) you talk like that's the cutting edge of music and the only thing coming out now, stop!!!! JADED HEART, just came out, thats the cutting edge of music, no to be honest the cutting edge of music is a cd you should mabey check out, EDGUY-ROCKET RIDE, this is easily my favorite cd, and could be on the verge of becoming one of my favorite cd's EVER!!!! but you see there is one problem with Edguy that prevents them from being noticed in america, that problem is THEY HAVE MUSICAL TALENT AND ARE GOOD!!! so you'll never hear about them, unless you look for good music, so my point being just because it's the latest music in america doesnt serve as anything other then letting us know who to stay away from, america no longer sets any standard in music as far as hard rock, metal, or aor, and nothing angers me worst then somebody saying Creed is Hard Rock, or Limp Bizkit is Heavy Metal, they are garbage, feed to americans by the suits, as soon as america thinks for itself musically it will destroy those suits.
  16. I took allot of sh&t for this, but I originally purchased Feeding Off The Mojo the day it came out, I had no idea it was coming out, nor had I heard anything about it, just saw it and got it, I noticed before I even listened to it that their were only 3 band members, and I had never seen one of them before, I tracked thru it, and was semi impressed, then I got to Tell Me Im Wrong!!! that moment was when I new it was a keeper, as well as when they FINALLY!!! kick in Music Box, to this day it's one of my favorite CD's, I think if they would have called themeselves something other then Night Ranger it would have got rave reviews, but I havent seen really anything other then negative about it, I consider this album 100000Xs better then what I heard on 7, they should have kept that Moon dude as part of Night Ranger,
  17. I found 7 suffered the same thing that the second wildside cd sufferred from, as well as Warrants Ultraphobic, like they left their roots, in search of the new sound, I couldnt even tell I was listening to Night Ranger, thats why I hated it, it just sounded like they put something out and didnt put any heart behind it, their were no, Color of your smile, or don't tell me you love me, quality songs on it, it all just sounded like one big song to me, and it wasnt a good song, but if neverland has the sound of Night Ranger, the one I like, I'll definetly check it out
  18. Yesterday I bought 7, I had never heard it or Neverland before, I was so disgusted and let down I took it back and lied to the store, I told them It wouldnt work in my car, so they let me trade it, *(I got a new copy of Big Life) my question is Neverland this bad? I understand allot of people liked 7 so an unbiased opinion on Neverland is basically what im after, before I throw hard earned bucks down on it. Thanks
  19. Back in eighty something I bought Great White's Once Bitten Twice Shy Single, the other 2 included song's were, Wasted Rock Ranger, and a Song I consider to be of the Best Great White Songs Ever!!! it's called SlowRide and ive yet to find it on any of their CD's, can anybody point me in the Right Direction? I would appreciate it more then you know. Thanks
