My Thanksgiving road trip

Recommended Posts

Don't usually find much anymore but had a pretty good Thanksgiving trip.

To start things off, the weekend before I found a copy of Powerage: Loud.

Onto my trip...

Fanatix: s/t (1992)

Hurricane: Over the Edge (1988)

Model Citizens: s/t (1996)

Mad Jack: On the Run (1994)

Moriah: Mirror Man (1992)

Johnny Smoke: Crime Don't Pay Yet (1999)

Damien Steele: Lost Classics (2005 band reissue)

Not to bad.

Last time I shopped in Pittsburgh back in 2009 I found a Simon Says - Spin This at a store full of books and a few hundred cd's. I paid 1$, turned around and sold it for over 300$.

On our way back from our family trip to Florida, I stopped in at a few places this past Friday in Erie. Not much in quality to be found. I did pick up about 25 cd's for 17$. Back in 2007, I did find 2 copies of Passion - High Emotion, they were from there. I sold both for over 100$

Koogles and I have a great story about doing some killer shopping at a guitar/music store in Rochester back in 2006. Let's just say I picked up about 200$ of cd's, turned around and sold them for about 2000$.

I did pick up a cd from a band called The Stuff back in December 2007 at a place in Orchard Park, just outside of Buffalo. I paid 1$ and sold it on Ebay for a whopping 1100$. Hands down my most profitable find ever.

I wish I had good stories like that for 2010 and 2011...but sadly none to be told.

Fast forward to my Christmas trip 2012. I didn't make it a point go out and hit all the stores I could but just went here and there. Hitting the same areas as before I didn't come up with much but did buy a LP, CD and Cassette.

(LP) Rock Candy: Sucker for a Pretty Face (semi sealed w/ guitar pick)

(CD) Highwire: Seeing is Believing

(Cass) Babe Blue: You Can't Stop Rock N Roll

Some cool stuff.
