I believe The Angels claim credit for this monster Aussie classic song.
But it seems it was not only borrowed, but stolen from a Status Quo B-side.
Wonder if the bought the rights, or if there was any legal shit etc?

Apparently they created the 'siren' guitar part and sped up the original version of the song a bit to create a point of difference

I'm a huge fan of Status Quo. They're my second favorite band. I was never aware of this before. Dare I say that I might actually prefer The Angels' song?

Interesting catch mate. My initial reaction was no way, get fucked, fuck off!, but you're right, it is a bit sus. Looks like Doc might have gotten away with one. Their most successful song and he would have made a lot of money from it as i'm sure his estate still does.
