Marty Friedman - Wall Of Sound

Marty Friedman is set to release the follow-up to 2014's "Inferno" on September 4 under the title of "Wall of Sound" via Prosthetic Records.

 

The opening track "Self Pollution" is available as the record's lead single and can be streamed below.

 

The effort features Marty at the helm of production, alongside engineer Paul Fig (Ghost, Rush, Alice in Chains) and mixer Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth, Sepultura).

 

Furthermore, Queen producer Reinhold Mack handled the mixing on two songs - "Streetlight" and "For a Friend."

I have Dragon's Kiss, Music For Speeding and Loudspeaker from Marty, but lost interest in his stuff starting with Future Addict. This lead track for the upcoming album sounds cool though

I always thought he's just not a good songwriter to be honest. He should join a band and play his ass off - just like he did in Megadeth back in the 90's. Those were the days.

Good point, he did some of his best work with Mustaine and Ellefson, especially on Rust In Peace and Countdown
