Sounds exactly, 100% like what you'd expect from this chap, which is pretty decent this time around. I just don't love his voice, though, and for me it just keeps what are pretty decent songs in the "average" category. But it's okay.

For me, LaValle was/is the best thing he has done. I hope there is 2nd one coming from them.

Lavalle seemed solid to me at the time but the vocals just grated on me after a while and I lost enthusiasm for what is otherwise a solid disc. Don't love the production either. But yeah, I agree, probably his best work.
