Dream Evil early stuff

Always been a big fan of these guys. Any of you dig them? They were led buy awesome guitarist Gus G, who had 4 bands going on at the same time (Firewind, Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, and Dream Evil). I recently got my hands on "Gold Medal In Metal" which had a cool "archive" cd with it.

 

These songs are from the Gus G/Snowy Shaw era of Dream Evil. Most of the songs are from the sessions or unreleased from The Book Of Heavy Metal. Some really cool tunes.

 

That CD also contains some early bonus tracks that I hadn't heard. Also pretty cool.

Oh, and I heard the band has finished a new album and it will be out sometime in early 2014!!

I've got their "Evilized" CD somewhere. BTW I always thought they were the "Steel Panther" of traditional metal or something. Nothing against the music though.

I LOVED the first 2 CDs, especially the debut. Quality has continued to drop since then IMO. Don't pay much attention to them these days.
