gener8tr
I'm not coming down on this seller, or these CD's... In fact, I own several of these titles and the seller is nothing short of a great person... I only post this as it is listed currently on ebay and I'm looking for some information. These CD's are bootlegs, I'm sure of it, but the quality is nothing short of first-rate. I mean perfect sound, and better packaging that anything being released from Mercury Records. Does anyone know anything about these, or the similar series "Jewels Of 80'ies Metal - Collectors Series?" Again, I am not endorsing anything or anyone, nor am I slandering anything or anyone... just looking for info. The release date says 1993, but I know that's B.S. These are new releases, perhaps within the last 6 months or soon. There are some very impressive titles. In fact, the "Jewels Of 80'ies Metal - Collectors Series" has better titles that those listed below, including SALEM'S WYCH, COMMANDER, TAIST OF IRON, CRYSTAL KNIGHT, and many more. hardrockingcollector
Where can one find these CDS?
gener8tr
Where can one find these CDS? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I found mine on Ebay Germany. They are all readily avai;able. I've even see a few sneak into the US market on Ebay, as well. I can tell you this, SALEM'S WYCH - BETRAYER OF KINGS is absolutely fantastic. It's a shame the band doesn't officially release it themselves and add a few live tracks from back in the day. Pure 80's TRUE METAL bliss! hardrockingcollector
Well, whether their bootlegs or not, they keep planning to issue these types of CDs. I found out the following are coming out in December: OUTSTANDING METAL GEMS VOL 009 - HAMMERWITCH / TROP FERROS / CASSLE OUTSTANDING METAL GEMS VOL 016 - MASQUE / STREAM / GRAND BITE OUTSTANDING METAL GEMS VOL 017 - AVALON - WYXMER - THOR (ARG) OUTSTANDING METAL GEMS VOL 018 - PARASITE - WILLD PUSSY - WIDOW (uk) Personally, I think this is awesome. Up til now, crappy CDRs have been the only way to get a lot of this stuff. I finally got some in from a russian mail order company, and this stuff is top notch, and in fact, better then most legit reissues coming out (if they are in fact boots).
