Not too sure how many know 'Faktion', but they released a debut a few years back which was pretty good and then disappeared to return with an pretty special EP called 'Crash Ashore' which had a few killer songs.

They have been off on side projects recently but have a few new songs up on myspace which I havent heard before so can only assume that they are lined up for the new album.

'Dead To Me'

'Poison Ivy'

'Best Goodbye'

are all killer and some of the best 'modern' tracks ive heard this year.

Bodes well.............

Wow, just going through some of these and some old tracks. 'B Side EP' was okay, but the new songs with the new singer are awesome! 'Poison Ivy' is a full 80's sleaze metal track with guitar solo and sexy lyrics to match. Nothing modern about that track. And 'Best Goodbye' is just a brilliant 80's style ballad. The new sounds appears to be aimed more at this 80's style, so the new album should be awesome. Haven't heard 'Dead to me' yet...

The 'Crash Ashore' EP has some good songs, but i agree these newer songs sound way better. If the whole album is up to that standard it could be excellent! Not sure on a release date tho....could be early 2011 I guess??

Yeah, 'Let you in' was a great ballad off the 'Crash Ashore EP'. Loved that one. The last song I heard (the most recent single?) was called 'Take a shot', which was awesome too. More big 80's vibe in the chorus. Whenever it may be released, I'll be excited. :)
