Ratt, London, 10 July

Just wondered whether anyone was thinking of going to this? For me, Ratt with Stephen Pearcy is an essential gig, but my rock fan mates aren't convinced by Ratt. Their back catalogue has so many incredible songs it should be a great night, unless someone knows something I don't...?

I've seen several live performances on youtube and in my opinion they sound shit live. Stephen Pearcy can't sing: end of story. If it were the original line up I would reconsider however.

No doubt a third of their set will be tracks from their new album about which I couldn't care less. Warren will do a tuneless solo for 5-10 minutes as will Bobby. I've heard and seen on youtube all the famous tracks played within the last year and a half and they sound and look like a shadow of their former selves. Ratt should die with dignity but they seem to want to extract as much money from it as possible.
