A question about the city Toronto

Why is the city of Toronto so closely affiliated with America? and no other Canadian citys are? I'm speaking of course in sports terms, but no other canadian citys work in American sports, I've never been there so I don't know, but the Blue Jays and Raptors seem to thrive, where Vancouver and Montreal went under.

Besides the fact that Toronto has always been a big sports town...there is the fact that the population of Toronto is almost equal to that of Vancouver & Montreal together...

Because as anyone from any other part of Canada, as well as from Toronto itself will tell you, "Toronto is the center of the universe". One group says it sarcastically, and the other group says it like they really, really, really, really believe it.

 

Toronto has the ability to piss with the big boys in the U.S. sports-wise because they have a large population within the city and its boroughs, as well as the surrounding area to provide a fan base to support their teams. I was born and raised in the area, and remain a fan of their sports teams even though I moved away 20 years ago.
