I'm hoping you guys can help out with this one.

 

Was the Pretty Maids debut released on CD with the original red cover or is it only available on CD with the brown cover?

I own everything the Maids have ever done and in all the years of collecting and tracking down their stuff I have never once seen that original red cover on CD. I know if it was out there I would have purchased it by now.

 

On a related note, there is mention of two Maids songs that apparently were supposed to be included on the cassette version of Future World when it was released...but never were. These ultra rare tracks are "Bring On The Bad News" and "Rock Zone"...if anyone out there has these, has heard them, or knows where I can get them please let me know!!

I did a quick search for those two tracks your after and it seems your not the only keen to get your hands on them. There's messages on forums all over the place asking about those tracks. I did find reference to them over at the MusicMight (previously AKA RockDetector) website which lists these two tracks as tracks 10 and 11 on a particular pressing of the Future Wrold LP. The pressing info is:

 

CBS - BFE 40713

00 1987 No. 22 SWEDEN

 

It's probably only a matter time before the two tracks show up as B'Sides or bonus tracks on a Pretty Maids release anyway.
