  1. Halfway through Peter Criss autobiography...and got Ace Frehley´s "No Regrets" lined up. It's a bit "The Dirt" light, and he comes across as somewhat of an asshole sometimes, but I guess that's what too much coke does to you. It's a very open and honest book though.

Anybody know if the Gene biography is any good? I heard excerpts from the audiobook version, read by Gene, and I'm curious about it. Seems he slagged off Ace and Peter quite a bit, but from what I've gathered the critique was well founded. Simmons always came across as the more clear thinking and rational individual in the band to me.

Genes was a bit boring. Aces was great! Have Peters ready to start as well.

Just finished Stephen Pearcys book and it was awesome!

I aquired the 2007 Japan Remasters Box Set with the following Ozzy Osbourne albums...

Knowing next to nothing about Ozzy or these albums, where should I start?

Which is your ONE favourite album and could you list a few of the best Ozzy songs?

Is there any Ozzy material not in this box set worth tracking down?538214b.jpg

Nice Ozzy collection. Are those the SHM mini LP editions? If so hold on to those they will be worth big bucks. I tried buying my Rush collection with those some are going for over $100 now because they are out of print.

The problem now and what is effecting their value in a negative way is that they are being bootlegged in China :(

    Go figure...is there nothing sacred.

    Not much anymore :(

See for me the second was the better of the two, and was much more consistant. The first one just didnt rock out enough for me, and was too much of a Whitesnake "blues" copycat.Hell, the second one is worth having just for All fall down. That is a monster of a track.

'All Fall Down' is a good song and 'I Need an Angel' is one of my favourite ballads ever, probably in my top five. However, I don't see the consistency thing. There are 4 or 5 very average, nondescript songs on 'NBT', while every song on 'Blue Murder' is fantastic imo. 'BM' doesn't sound bluesy to me, it's more like the 1987 Whitesnake sound if anything. And John Sykes was on that record. He even said after leaving Whitesnake that his album would be more like '1987' than Whitesnake's next one and that is completely spot on in my book. If I was to do a Blue Murder compilation, it would have 3, maybe 4 songs from the second album and every song from the debut!

The second cd is very inconsistent but the debut is a masterpiece, because it has that Whitesnake 1987 feel. That whole album wouldn't even be good without Sykes in my opinion.

  5. Very sorry to hear this. Our dog Princess passed away November last year right in front of us. Very bad deal....then 4 months later, I had to take Suzy Q , one of our kitties to the vet. I didn't even know I wasn't coming back with her...she had some form of cancer in her stomach lining. She was only 9 years old...for a cat, that's still a baby. Sucks man...

On the bright side, you got 20 good years of memories.

The Chiefs Will Beat Denver At Least Once, Their D Is Too Good.

While I agree that the Chefs may beat Denver, it won't be because the Kansas D is too good, but rather the Denver defense is horrific. Manning will find ways to beat the opposing defense, but that Denver D is so decimated it can't stop The Sisters of the Blind.

Letting Romo put up 48? Please.

I Can Agree With That And Im A Bronco Fan. The D Us Hit Great Well The Passing D, The Rushing D Is Great. May Be Different When Champ And Miller Come Back But Maybe not.

Miller will make an impact once he plays for a bit but Baily is washed up. I see him get burned on a constant bases.

Personally, My favorite is Twice Shy, but Hooked is great also....I like the new one, Elation quite a bit too, considering Russell isn't on it.

Sorry but there is no Great White without Jack Russell's vocals. "Elation" sucked ass. And I like Terry in XYZ and love Great White. That disc just does nothing for me.

Right you are. Really this is there only bad, awful album. It's a shame...a new GW album with Jack and a new XYZ with Terry would have been much better. Letter to God was fucking awesome!

  9. Wow, I didn't even know this thread existed. When I saw the dates and how long it had been it took me back to a dark place. I was smack dab in the middle of a divorce, went from seeing my son half the time, had sold all of my collection to pay for things...lots of uncertainty.

Thank God we all make it through our struggles. Eventually, we all come back to what we love.

I love this damn site :)
