    I'm probably alone here but I love this cd.

    I really dig it too. It gets such a bad beating though. I love 'Forever'!!! The note he hits at the end... OMFG! Anybody seen where the helium went?

    That's good to know, I've never heard them before. I bought them from Rich(dawallaman), he always has good stuff and great taste in music.

     

     

    Yeah, I have been friends with Rich for around 20 years. We know each other inside & out and our tastes are very similar. He's selling some nice stuff!

    Still waiting here as well. I guess I should expect a refund tomorrow lol. <_<

     

    I really feel bad for everyone who are waiting for their money to be returned. It's a horrible thought knowing you sent someone you thought you could trust money in good faith never really expecting this to happen.

     

    I have to say what hurts me the most is I've been sitting here VERY anxiously waiting for these damn reissues for a few months and then this happens. It's like a little kid going to sleep on Christmas eve with a bunch of presents under the tree and waking up in the morning to find them all gone. So I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and try to acquire the originals knowing what they are going for or go back to waiting and hope some day the things are actually reissued for real.

     

    It's nice to see everyone really coming together as a group though during all this crap. :)

     

     

     

    I know if I ever see my money again I will have to re-purchase the Hurricane cd's that I sold to buy the "re-issues"... <_<

    Wow all that going on from a car accident. I had no idea. I had one deal with Lonnie and that was for the free CDR's he sent to anyone who gave him an address. I had no further dealings. I for one am not interested in any reissues so I had no interest in the Hurricane CD's. Geoff, I happen to agree with your sentiments about Joe selling a CDR to Jim and the band not realizing it. They get no money because it's not available anyway. I just hope everyone gets their money back but I have a hard time believing that Lonnie will ever be trusted again. I was wondering why he deleted me from his myspace page. Guess everyone on HH got deleted. Or maybe it was just me. LOL. Well that's my 2 cents worth. Since I only have 2 nickels to rub together that leaves me 8 cents for coffee tomorrow morning.

     

     

     

    Yeah, I think it's funny everything is set to private now on his myspace account. He doesn't want anybody posting anything bad that might ruin his great reputation <_< .

    The following is a statement from Hurricane in relation to the recent news about two of their albums being potentially re-released:

     

    "It has come to the attention of Kelly Hansen and Jay Schellen that some person or persons have been allegedly promoting the release and sale of reissued material by their earlier band, Hurricane.

    Kelly contacted Hurricane band mate Jay Schellen and neither have any knowledge of the release, or the websites that are promoting it. They wish to make it known that no Hurricane reissue CDs have been signed by them and no new or "bonus" tracks have ever been recorded for any reissue. Any quotes attributed to Kelly or Jay in connection with any advertising and/or marketing of these releases are totally manufactured. Kelly and Jay are extremely distressed to hear of any alleged abuse of their fans and friends, and although they would love to address this issue personally, legally they must remain limited to this statement. Kelly and Jay are doing everything possible to assist in the cessation of any alleged misuse of their good name and reputation that injures the people they value most, their supporters."

     

    Thank godness for folks like you! Bringing this information for everyone to read. Also for picking up the phone and calling Lon's workplace. When this started going downhill fast you and some of the other GREAT people here started doin' your homework to bring the TRUTH out in this mess. Even though I DID NOT buy anything from Lon I admire everyone's efforts to bring out what was going on. He stired up a real hornets nest here my friends and shed the REAL light upon himself. Did he think everyone here was gonna lay down and take this? Hell Stevie Wonder could see that wasn't gonna work with you folks! My hat is off to you and everyone here that has kept us informed of what's going on. As I have said before and I will say again,I wish you all the best and that EVERYONE gets ALL of their money back! YOU PEOPLE deserve better than this!!! God Bless!

    Well, I have to give David at Suncity some props here. Aside from him & Sam bickering (which annoys me to no end) I have to say he is doing a great job with his label. I just ordered these titles in a bulk order...

     

     

     

    Sweet Teaze - Groovin on the Backside

    Daniel Macmaster - Rock Bonham

    Swingin Thing - Keep on swingin

    Dirty Rhythm - Never cleaned up

    Both Blue Tears cd's

    Schoolboy crush - good time bad boys

     

     

     

    Got them within a week which is pretty fast.I would recommend just one thing though David...Use padded shippers. I had to replace half the cases as they were broken during shipment. Other than that, gotta give props!

    HURRICANE RE-ISSUE UPDATE:

    Still a lot developing in regards to the re-issues proposed by a label called RnR Records. It seems the Hurricane and other re-issues have already been withdrawn as those involved scramble behind the scenes. Again I have been in contact with Kelly Hansen and Jay Schellen of Hurricane, who are completely unaware of these re-issues and will give me any update they have ASAP. I was told though, that the band had not even heard of the titles of the songs listed as bonus tracks.

    The only other update I have today is word from Valentine's Gerard Zappa, who adds: "It definitely seems to be some sort of scam as they are mentioning songs that are being "added" to the album, yet they are not even our songs."

    Valentine have confirmed to me personally that the re-issue is unauthorized and that they are taking steps in regards to this.

     

    Jim Jidhed has been notified as have copyright holder Virgin, so they will comment hopefully later tonight.

     

    Members of Hurricane have not even heard of the song titles listed as bonus tracks on their re-issues.

    The fact that these bonus tracks don't appear to even exist makes the whole hoax even worse. Why oh why would you invest money & allow strangers access to your paypal account & then not even inspect the final product at any stage. Or enquire about how it looks/sounds, or even (as a HURRICANE fan himself) want to hear those bonus tracks as soon as they became available. Regardless of the business side of things, I'd wanna hear those damn bonus tracks ASAP! Not to mention the comments around "I phoned/spoke to Jay & he wants to re:press a further 500 copies...." etc. You can only assume that Lon/David just left the whole thing entirely to this 3rd party & allowed them full use of their HH relationships, paypal address, website etc. Despite it being Lon's own reputation that was being put on the line. Naive in the extreme.

     

    On the previous issue of how Lon built his reputation here, I think we ought to apologise to fellow-Brit Rockhead/Nick who had trading issues with him last year & posted here but was vilified by one & all who jumped in to defend Lon. He's hardly posted here since & I think that's been a shame. I'm personally disappointed I didn't side with him on that one...

    Hi again

     

    I will be giving to Lonnie the benefit of doubt about my case (only), I said him/David by email. If I receive the package with all cds that we agreed, I will post here a message, and will close the dispute through Paypal. I really hope now he is telling the truth, at least at this moment.

     

    Many of you know me, I don´t have any interest in receive the cds and the money back. It´s not right. I will also wait for the refund for the Hurricance cds.

     

    I want to thank you all my friends here that were trying to help me, specially Tony "Koogles", I think he gave a good idea for future discussions, to Dan, Jim, Michael, Paulo, Jarred & other friends.

     

    I will not judge Lonnie´s acts, he knows he is totally wrong. I am sure the life will show him the right way.
