  1. I don't want the Broncos to get in. I would really love to see the Chargers get the spot in the playoffs that Denver was all but assured of. I also hate the Cheatriots and the Ravens. It's most assured one of the two will get in. If one of the two has to get in I'd rather see the Ravens.

How can you say that about the Broncos when you were supposedly a Bronco fan?

It's obvious you were never a fan of the Broncos.

I'd love for them to tie and by some crazy get up , both of them not get in

I hate Ratface for the donkeys but I despise Rivers.

  2. Actually ya gotta tip your hat to Axl for waiting 15 years to put one album out, unlike Metallica who have put out a buncha crap albums for several years now.

    Good point.

Personally I don't understand people who hate this album. The whole album is full of great songs and is very well produced.

It's usually a case of some people expecting it to blow them away on the first note based on how long it took to release it. Most people who don't like it haven't even listened to it closely...I pity them...:)

  3. Both Piece of My Heart and Never Gonna Die were songs that I thought were just attempted radio hits. I don't think they are terrible, but they are far below the caliber of music that band was capable of.

Never gonna die is shit but as I said before, I disagree on the other song. I do like this Anthology album though. The stuff from 1987 would have been a great album!

  4. Former TYKETTO/WAYSTED vocalist Danny Vaughn has just re-released his "Standing Alone" EP through HardRockHouse. Featuring stripped back interpretations of both TYKETTO and VAUGHN classics, the EP, which has been unavailable since the 2002 pressing very quickly sold out, should be a "must-have" for any classic rock fan.

From the beginning of his career, Vaughn has always been the token acoustic guitar player who added a little extra flavour to the sound of the bands with which he was involved. The idea for "Standing Alone" came about following a U.K. tour which saw Vaughn taking to the stage alone every night to play a song acoustically. Such was the reception that these interludes received that soon after he invested in some home recording equipment and "Standing Alone" began to take shape. Vaughn states: "The idea was to see how some songs from my near and not-so-near past would sound reinterpreted."

Emotional and honest, "Standing Alone" is the sound of vocal and guitar working together at their best, the simplicity of the arrangements proving just how good Vaughn's songs truly are.

    "Standing Alone" track listing:

    01. Wings

    02. Was There A Moment

    03. Seasons

    04. The Voice

    05. Write Your Name In The Sky

    06. Standing Alone

Pretty cool little EP and got very pricey since it sold out. Grab it while you can if it's being re-issued.

  5. To bad Axl hasn't done any promo for this at all.

Although I read where the new video for Better was coming out and the promo would start.

But as of now only 318,000 copies have been sold by Best Buy but they bought 1.3 million.

It was huuuuuge mistake going through Best Buy and instead should of released this to everyone and promoted the fuck out it. I wonder since Best Buy only bought 1.3 Million if GNR can then take the album to somewhere else.

1.3 million at $10 each, $13 million.....exacty what it cost to make the album...

coincidence? 1.3 mil is abit of an odd number

yes i think wayyy too much when im sober

Yes but Axl isn't getting anything close to $10/cd, more like a $1.50 if he's lucky.

Not sure how much the label gets out of the that but I'm sure it's not enough to cover the costs of recording it.

I also wonder if the costs of studio time was all on Geffen or did some of that fall on Axl.

I do sure hope for his sake he wakes up and starts promoting this thing very soon but the last I read he said they don't even had a tour planned. WTF?

This album should be treated no different than any other album released. I want to see what it sells after it's been out a year or two like any other band. Let people hear the music, make some vids, promo it & tour off the record. Why are so many people freaking out about 300,000 plus in two weeks in a day & age of downloading music?

  6. Thanks for clearing up the mess about a US version folks. I just have one more question if you don't mind. The Thrill Pistol booklet says something about the Wazbonez album being released in '92, but I've heard some say it was originally recorded in '95. What's the deal? When was the dang thing originally released?

Might have been recorded in 1992 but was released in 1995.

  7. well, if i wanted to start from the beginning getting the a.r.pell discography i should get the triplet: between the walls-black moon pyramid- magic with mr. soto and then oceans of time with mr. joelli. after those, i believe that the "magic" is lost.

I would have to majorly disagree. I would pick up their first three cd's ending it with their best release Eternal Prisoner.

  8. >> I had this but never even listened to it.I prfer the first two cds. <<

The only thing I don't understand is how you can "prefer" something over something else whwn you've never heard the "something else."

I just like watching her boobs jiggle...:)

  9. I asked this question on another forum, but didn't get much help. I own the newer version of the Wazbonez album that came bundled with Thrill Pistol. Besides the tracks that were left off the new release, are there any other differences in the songs that are on both albums or are they exactly the same? Also, are the missing tracks such as "Perish", "Pigface" and "Future Is A Drug" worth tracking down the original U.K. release for? I'd really appreciate any advice here.

Ok, firstly, there is no US version.

The version that came with Thrill Pistol is available on the UK release as well.

I spoke to the band about this some time ago, when I was contemplating picking up the Jap release, and they said it was not worth it, as most of the songs would be on the disc released with Thrill pistol.

The UK version is re-recorded though, and personally sounds better than the Jap/Thrill pistol version, and there is a slightly different track listing.

If you can find it cheap, its worth picking up, but unless you are a die hard fan, the Thrill Pistol version should suffice! (I bought my copy when it was released, so I was quite lucky on that).

The only version I would say thats totall worth passing over, is the original Japanese release (it was released under the band name Wazbones rather than Tigertailz).

I love the album but would disagree with you on this. I found the Japan version to sound better and it has 15 tracks. I would stick with that but that's just my opinion :)

I've only heard the Jap version thanks to you, and I love it. :banger:

Yeah, this is not only my fave Tigertailz album but it's right up there with any sleaze album I think!
