  1. Classic? I've never even heard of it. your kidding??????? If he isn't kidding then he must not watch any movie older than himself... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054953/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 Never heard of 'The Guns Of Navarone'?! OMG you're a baby... I usually pride myself in having watched many classic films, but haven't seen that one. Admittedly I generally avoid war films as they're usually carbon copies of each other. I mean, I have seen "A Bridge Too Far," "The Bridge on the River Kwai," "The Great Escape" and a few others. How many more do I need to see? Let me ask you this: have you seen "Citizen Kane," "Dr. Strangelove," "Forbidden Planet," "Kind Hearts and Coronets," "The Lady Killers," "Ocean's 11," "Rebel Without A Cause," "Scarface (1932)," or "Touch of Evil"? If you answered 'no' to any of those, then you can't get on my case for not having seen "The Guns of Navarone." And just to please you ladies, I have it downloading at the moment. Hehe, you're missing the point FunkOMaster. HEARD. Not SEEN. I'm not even sure if I've watched the whole of 'The Guns Of Navarone' but you can bet your ass that I've heard and read about it. Mere technicalities. Read the book, seen the film (several times) ... but I suggest you avoid watching the 'sequel', 'Force 10 From Navarone' ... oh, dear ...

  3. Iron Maiden - Die With Your Boots On
  4. Go For IT - Stiff Little Fingers
  5. *League* ... stoopid fingers ... Maybe what you said originally was the Ancient Roman equivalent... If only we could re-introduce some of Ancient Rome's more popular entertainments and have Rooney, et al, take part ....
  6. 7. Cody's rather brilliant idea for an advert has given me more joy and entertainment than Premier Leagus football EVER could!
  8. WALK Away - Sisters Of Mercy
  9. Draw The LINE - Aerosmith
  10. I really liked 'When Dream And Day Unite', but lost interest when they changed singers ... can't really explain it, I guess his voice just isn't for me. I do enjoy a spot of Prog Metal, though ... oh, yes ...
  11. Hm ... I'm not sure I could divide my favourite vocalists so neatly, so here's a list of ten vocalists that I never get tired of listening to (in no particular order): Bruce Dickinson Fish Ronnie James Dio Rob Halford (apart from the crap he did with Fight and Two) Dani Filth Floor Jansen King Diamond Bon Scott Angela Gossow David Lee Roth I forgot Angela. Hmm... There's a challenge in there. I reckon I could disprove your "never get tired of listening to" theory - I think everyone's King Diamond tolerance has a limit! The biggest problem I have with King Diamond isn't his voice, it's the fact that some of his songs are a little too 'samey' ... I can listen to 'Melissa', 'Don't Break The Oath', 'Them' and 'Abigail' until the animals of your choice make their way to their domicile, but some of his latter-day solo stuff is a little interchangeable ... not that this is necessarily a bad thing, you understand - after all, a bad King Diamond song is still better than a lot of stuff out there - but it does mean that I sometimes end up with a sense of deja-vu ...
  12. Ram It DOWN - Judas Priest
  13. FIRE Of Unknown Origin - Blue Oyster Cult
  14. Bach? Yep. Genius. Waaaaaayyyyyy ahead of his time. And as for Dawkins, the older I get the more I find religion ridiculous. And believe that there really can't be a God. But each to his own, of course. Not disputing Bach's genius ... just never had you down as a fan of anything even remotely 'classical' Yeah, man, I love me a bit of Bach! Bangin' away like armed policemen? That's the one. As a certain mutual acquaintance used to say, "smashing the granny out of her". Ah, yes ... he was a classy fella ...
  15. Woke Up WITH A Monster - Cheap Trick

  17. Bach? Dawkins? Ah, the boy Eagle has a lot of time for Mr Dawkins ... I'm still struggling to read one of his books (Dawkins', not JE's) ... I can see where he's coming from, but his writing style is diabolical ... My 10 guests (as of right now, but subject to change at any given moment) ... Spike Milligan Terry Pratchett Michael J Fox Angelina Jolie Oskar Schindler Dara O'Briain Paul Brickhill Douglas Adams Toyah Willcox Tom Baker Wouldn't it get a bit embarrassing for the other guests when you and Toyah started, you know...? Bangin' away like armed policemen?
  18. I think most of the NAMES have reformed ... whether or not the bands concerned have more than one original member seems a bit academic
