  1. You're telling me! They're something like £6 or £7 EACH on Amazon
  2. I picked up the entire Necroscope series from a local charridy shop for a couple of quid the other day ... I read the first one YEARS ago, and really enjoyed it
  3. Redlaw by James Lovegrove ... a neat twist on the vampire theme ... I've just started the follow-up, Redlaw: Red Eye (I think I can see a theme developing) ...
  4. I thought 'Warped' was a far better album than their debut ... although I don't appear to have a copy of either these days
  5. This Is Not A Love SONG - Public Image Limited
  6. Into The Great Wide OPEN - Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
  7. I picked up a box of about 140 CDs for £30 at the weekend. All of them are in more or less mint condition (which surprised the hell outta me); most of them are 'pop' stuff (Rihanna, Kylie, Madonna, George Michael, Texas ...) so will be moved on at some point, but I kept a few back: Bon Jovi: Crossroads Bon Jovi: These Days Bon Jovi: Crush Sheryl Crow: Sheryl Crow Sheryl Crow: C'Mon, C'Mon Fleetwood Mac: Say You Will Pulp: Different Class (bringing back wonderful memories of a mis-spent youth) Simple Minds: Glittering Prize '82-'92 (worth it for 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' alone )
  8. Wide Awake In DREAMland - Pat Benatar
  9. Wine, WOMEN & Song - Whitesnake
  10. I've got their 'River Of Tuoni' album ... it's pretty good
  11. What kind of beer do you like? There's Harp Lager created by Guinness, oh, and there's Guinness Stout. I prefer Murphy's Irish Stout. Try Smithwick's if you like red ales. I personally love Kilkenny, but you don't want something bitter. The ONLY way to drink Guiness is in Dublin ... my cousin lives in Minnesota, and took me to an 'English Pub', 'cause he knew I liked Guiness ... the stuff they were serving tasted like it had been scraped off the road ... Guiness doesn't travel well, my friends ... If you're after a nice Irish beer, try Caffreys ... *hic* ...
  12. Six got you feeling a little less than good? Lightweight. It's age, mate. I used to go out and drink 10 pints, no worries at all. Changed when I was in my mid-late twenties. Now, even 4 pints can be a bad idea on a work night. Usually 5 is fine, 6 is dodgy midweek and 7 is a definite mistake. Yeah, I don't know if you're old enough to blame it on age. He is, trust me ...
  13. King Of The DEAD - Cirith Ungol
  14. Only Women BLEED - Alice Cooper
  15. I may have to seek this one out ... I LOVE 'Calvin & Hobbes'
  16. The Needle LIES - Queensryche
  17. Thanks, fellas ... a fine time was had by all
  18. I agree with you when it comes to Sabbath - as much as I love the 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' album, I've never understood the fanboy devotion that the Ozzy-fronted lineup inspires ...
