  1. I dunno? Is ELO AOR?... ITS (I think so). I loved this one back in the day.
  2. Another one for "Carly". Killer track, Killer album (not too bad for a demo album BTW). It's a tragedy that Mark Weitz wasn't more prolific.
  3. Yeah, Steelhouse Lane 100%. Lightning struck twice with these guys. Very hard to choose a favourite track, but I'll go with "All I Believe In".
  4. Killer album! "Runnin' On Luck Again" is about as Epic as it gets for me.
  5. So, are you saying that you like or dislike "Open"? Because to me, apart from "Cheat & Hide" and "Back to You", I've always considered this album as Gotthard's "Shadowlife".
  6. Plenty of love here from me and it's easily my #2, but I'm trying and failing to stick to the strict terms and conditions imposed by Auslander in his OP's.
  7. Yeah, "Steelhouse Lane", no question. Favourite track is "Surrender", no question. As close as you can get to a perfect song.
  8. I think this one counts. A Killer track from "Storm and Stress". Gotta love that riffage. A nice "One Desire" connection with these guys.
  9. Just when I thought it was over, I picked up the "ten" debut. I had a "Now & Then" sampler disc featuring "Cool Blonde Angel" by "Gary Hughes" and I knew "Vinny Burns" from "Dare", so when I saw this I thought I'd take a chance. I'll never forget my first listen with a mate of mine who was also into this stuff. We were awestruck. I know Gary Hughes and ten cop a bit of shit these days, but they carried "the torch" during the darkest days of our music. Favourite track is "The Loneliest Place in the World". One of the best power ballads ever, no question, end of.
  10. These list are by no means comprehensive, but we're working with what we have.
  11. I went with Queensryche. Gotthard would be my #2, but Frontline would be #3. As you said, awesome songs and I didn't mind the vocals, but the production was horrendous. I still love it though.
  12. I love that Skid Row album, but I'm going with Van Halen - Balance... pure class and signaled the end of an era. Favourite track is Feelin'.
  13. Queensryche. Favourite track is "Someone Else?" (with full band). It's a Japanese bonus track, so I don't know if that counts. If not then it'd be "One More Time".
  14. Hard to choose between Vince Neil and Winger, but I'll go with Winger. Just as hard to choose a favourite track, but I'll go with No Man's Land.
  15. Again, the graphic was hard enough. Steelheart, Def Leppard, Hardline, Bon Jovi, Warrant, Slaughter, KISS, W.A.S.P. I can't take this emotional turmoil.
  16. It's hard enough as it is. Please, FFS, don't pull that thread.
  17. Rick Springfield - Don't Talk to Strangers. A couple of recent unrelated posts from Geoff and Karpet reminded me of this one. Another quintessential moment in my musical journey. I had a compilation cassette back in the day called "1982 Out of the Blue" which included this one. I was 10 and I remember playing the shit out of this track.
  18. I forgot to add "Quicksand Jesus" as my favourite track.
  19. This one's a no brainer for me. "Iron Maiden" 100%. The first album I bought with my own money. It was pocket money, but still my own money nonetheless. I was 9 at the time, pushing 10 and even though I purchased it with my own money, I still needed the all important approval of my Mum. It was given, the purchase was made and the rest is History. I can't go past the title track as my favourite.
  20. Fuck me! This wasn't easy at all for me, but I think my choice would always be "The Crimson Idol". That album was huge for me. I really love it. Favourite track, "The Idol". Another track that still moves me to this day.
  21. You'll love this recent clip mate.
  22. Yeah, incredibly tough. I've gotta choose "Slave to the Grind", but that was hard. Has anyone seen the classic "Meryl Streep" movie "Sophie's Choice"? I'd compare it with that.
