  4. In the apartment, it's glam-metal day with PRETTY BOY FLOYD: "Porn Stars" serving up the goods. In the truck, I finally managed to drag Judas Priest: "Angel of Retribution" out of the player and replace it with JONAH 33: s/t.
  5. In the apartment, it's DAMNED NATION: "Grand Design" doing a fine job of keeping the windows rattling. In the truck, I just can't get JUDAS PRIEST: "Angel of Retribution" out of the player!
  6. In the apartment I've got POLE POSITION: "Pole Position" keeping me company. In the truck, it's SALIVA: "Survival of the Sickest" and JUDAS PRIEST: "Angel of Retribution" keeping my foot to the pedal and the pedal to the floor.
  7. JUDAS PRIEST: "Angel of Retribution" The best comeback album since Scorpions' "Unbreakable"!!!
  8. JONAH 33: s/t SEVENTH DAY SLUMBER: "Once Upon a Shattered Life" DAY OF FIRE: s/t
  9. with everyone else. NEH Records is one of the best melodic hard rock/metal stores out there. Dealing with them is almost as good as dealing with Vegasmetal! (OK, I apologize for the sarcasm.) Seriously, you can't go wrong with NEH.
  10. Bootleg ? or CDR ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Truth is, it appears to be a high-end silver CDR, complete with writing (band name, album title, record company, tracks, year) on the front of the actual disc. However, there is no catalog number, and while the inserts are done on high-grade glossy paper, there are no liner notes. So CDR, bootleg, whatever...I'm just happy to have my hands on it!
  11. In the apartment, a little PINK CREAM 69: "Electrified" is making things sizzle... In the truck, I still can't stop playing FIFTY-SEVEN STITCH: "Nerveblock." (Yeah, it's that good, IMHO.)
  12. Recent acquisitions... KK WILDE: "Cocaine Cowboys" (bootleg) LOUD 'N' NASTY: "Too Much Ain't Enough"
  13. You're right, Jimbo, the shady shyster did offer free CDRs for anyone who asked, and free should mean free, not $7. And actually, it WAS halibut I smelled...I'm having fish for dinner.
  14. I agree with Jim...$7 for a CDR with full color inserts isn't unreasonable. Your paying for the person's time, wear & tear on his computer, ink for the printer, and the CDR itself. Seems like everybody's looking for freebies nowadays...
  15. Two packages in the mail today, containing the following goodies: 40 FT. RINGO: "Funny Thing" TAINTED ANGEL: "Say a Prayer" RONDINELLI: "Our Cross Our Sins" DAMN CHEETAH: "Primal" LIBERTY N' JUSTICE: "Welcome to the Revolution" SKELETON CREW: "Grind the Enamal" SKELETON CREW: "Graveyard Shift" ACES: "Kick Off" OPEN FIRE: "No Uncle of Mine" SLIPPERY LIP: "Locked" CRASH ALLEY: "Loud 'n' Ugly"
  16. After letting it sit on the shelf for about, oh, the last 3 yrs., I finally popped in PINK CREAM 69: "Food for Thought" again. It may be another 3 yrs. before it sees the inside of my stereo again...
  17. Today in the mail I received FIFTY SEVEN STITCH: "Nerveblock," which is an excellent helping of aggressive, in-your-face, attitude-driven hard rock and a must-own for anyone who enjoyed the last Saliva CD. Mucho thanx to whoever posted the thread about these guys (I can't recall who it was at this exact moment). Forget the hype about Revolver and pick these guys up instead. Wait a minute, better yet, buy both CDs!!
  18. In the stereo...PRIMAL FEAR: "Nuclear Fire" In the computer...WIG WAM: "667, The Neighbor of the Beast" In the truck...ROXX: "Outlaws, Fools, & Thieves"
