So I reconnected with some friends of mine who were in a New Jersey Death Metal band called Damonacy. Lord Of The Flies Records just reissued a comp from them called Morbidity Within. I was ready to order the c.d. on Saturday, but decided to hold off until today because I was going to a show to see American Anger (who has two members of Damonacy). I see the bass player Mike Klose who I've known for years. He said "Dom, I got something for you!". Hands me the American Anger c.d., the Damonacy c.d. And a Damonacy t-shirt. Great bunch of guys. Agreed that it is on the downward spiral, but for the major league bands and labels. If the majors stop c.d.'s altogether, turn to the independent labels and bands. Plenty of them out there that need our support.
