  2. New EP out now, digital only. From rocknloadmag.com: Swedish melodic hard rock supergroup Crowne will release a new live EP entitled ‘Live From Studio Gröndahl’ on 19th August, a little treat to hold fans over as they await the release of a second album by the band. A live performance ‘Kings In The North’ from the EP is available from today on all digital platforms. The studio recording of ‘Kings In The North’ was the title track of their 2021 debut album, a record that truly delivered on the promise of the combined talents of the group members. Comprised of vocalist Alexander Strandell (Art Nation), guitarist/keyboardist/producer Jona Tee (H.E.A.T.), bassist John Levén (Europe) and drummer Christian Lundqvist (The Poodles), the record was a tour de force of Scandinavian melodic hard rock. It also featured guitar solos from Love Magnusson (Dynazty), who has now joined the line-up as permanent lead guitarist. ‘Live From Studio Gröndahl’ features the quintet tearing through five songs from ‘Kings In The North’ and allows fans to hear (and see) them playing live in an intimate setting. Crowne is the most exciting, thrilling supergroup created to date from the Swedish melodic hard rock scene. Having already crafted a beast of a debut, this stellar cast of outstanding musicians are currently working diligently to better it with the recording of its follow-up. 8. New songs. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Perfect Plan's third studio album, "Brace For Impact". Over the course of their first two albums, "All Rise" and "Time For A Miracle", the Swedes have quickly established themselves as a new gold standard in not only the Scandinavian melodic rock genre, but the melodic rock genre as a whole. "Brace For Impact" does nothing to slow that momentum and fans should do exactly as the album's title says in preparation for their latest opus. Produced by the band, songwriting started in August 2021 for "Brace For Impact" and was wrapped up by the end of the year. The band then spent January of this year working on arrangements and pre-production work before starting the process of recording in the first week of February. Asked about the musical direction of the album, vocalist Kent Hilli says, "Well, hard question...we didn’t think too much about that when we started writing as we want everything to come naturally to us. All we focused on and wanted to do was to write really great melodic rock songs with great riffs and melodies. But I think we have more ”rockers” on this album than before. I would say that it's melodic rock in general, but maybe slightly harder than our previous albums. But much like our second album, ”Time For A Miracle” we have a great mixture between hard rock, melodic rock, and AOR in there...and some songs even have some elements of progressive rock and some bluesier elements mixed in also. And we have just one ballad on this album. Our goal when writing an album is that it should feel like playing songs on a jukebox and I think we have succeeded with that on this album. Everything sounds like PERFECT PLAN 3.0, really! I think we have definitely pushed everything up a notch from songwriting and lyrics to arrangements and overall performance and sound. With the addition of the great Tobias Lindell who does the mixing…everything sounds really big and majestic I think!" Sometimes the stars align and create a perfect balance of talent within a group. A band like Perfect Plan is the “perfect" (pun intended) example of that: a superb singer, a well-oiled band of experienced players, and a great songwriting talent with a knack for unforgettable melodies and driving rhythms. Add to that the right single released at the right time and Perfect Plan’s emergence as immediate rising stars on the melodic rock scene is no surprise. The song that “built” their reputation is of course the awesome “In and Out of Love,” the first single/video that kicked off the promotion of the band’s 2018 debut album “All Rise,” released on Frontiers in April of that year. The band followed their debut album with the sophomore release "Time For A Miracle" in 2020. Hyperbole aside, it was a major step forward across the board. Opting for a slightly heavier and more “in your face” sound, Perfect Plan matured and created an outstanding balance of melodies and energy, with the obvious references to the sound of the classics (think Foreigner, Survivor, The Storm, Giant, etc.) and Scandinavian AOR with a recognizable and personal feel. So, after a stunning debut and sticking the landing with their second album, what does Perfect Plan have up their sleeve for an encore? Well, all we can say is..."Brace For Impact”! Tracklisting: 1. Surrender 2. If Love Walks In 3. Can’t Let You Win 4. Gotta Slow Me Down 5. Stop The Bleed 6. My Angel 7. Devil’s Got The Blues 8. Bring Me A Doctor 9. Still Undefeated 10. Emelie 11. Walk Through Fire Line-Up: Kent Hilli - Lead vocals Rolf Nordström - Guitar Leif Ehlin - Keyboards Fredrik Forsberg - Drums Mats Byström - Bass https://perfectplan.se facebook
  9. New album out November 22 through Lions Pride Music. From Lions Pride Music: Martin Perticone AKA “Perticone Underdog” is an artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina who’s been in the music industry since the age of 13, when he joined the band Fondo Blues as a lead singer and guitar player. Martin played in the Argentinean under circuits for more than 25 years but during the way also got to know many important people in the music industry that led him to become Tour Manager for artists like Eric Martin from Mr Big in 2007 or even being invited as a guest for Richie Kotzen Latin American Tour in 2008. Martin has also toured around Latin America, USA, Europe and Hong Kong as a hired gun for many different artists until he finally decided to put more efforts on his solo career. That’s how his long-time friend Edu Giardina (well-known artist in Latin America) would become his producer and mentor for his debut album “Underdog”. The mixture of AOR, Southern Rock and Country makes this album unique and different with amazing and powerful melodies all over the place. The album featured guests such as Eric Martin (Mr Big) and Edu Giardina and brings reminiscent from the late 80’s and 90’s but keeping the best of current sounds and trends too. Perticone’s solo career has just begun and in only 1 year from his launch he’s got many followers and fans in Europe, Asia and Latin America. “Stuff In The Basement” was recorded during pandemic times at RED Studios Buenos Aires and features an amazing line-up of musicians from all over the world. Edu Giardina and Guillermo Porro got involved, one more time, as the producers and band members for this new release taking the album to another level. It is plain to see the growth of Perticone Underdog as an artist on this new production by just listening to the opening track of the album “Blame it on Me”. There are, as usual, some country “pearls” and 90’s rock reminiscences all over. Stuff in the Basement will be released in 29 August 2022 by Lions Pride Music worldwide! CD Tracklist: 01. Blame It On Me 02. End Of The Line 03. Name Without A Face 04. Save Me Tonight 05. Game For Fools 06. Waiting 07. Let's Get Lost Tonight 08. What Went Wrong (I Wonder) 09. When It Rains 10. 16. The goddamn ADV fellow involved. Again. But I like the song anyway. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is proud to present Killer Kings' debut album entitled "Burn For Love". Killer Kings is a musical alliance between Gregory Lynn Hall (ex- 101 South) and Tristan Avakian (ex- Red Dawn, Queen Extravaganza). Killer Kings first came about when Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino thought of bringing Gregory Lynn Hall, the former singer of 101 South, an AOR band who released three albums between 2000 and 2009, and Tristan Avakian, a very gifted guitarist who made his name in the '90s with the Melodic Hard Rock band Red Dawn, together. Musically, Killer Kings mixes the AOR approach of both Red Dawn and 101 South with some interesting twists. Gregory Lynn Hall has had a long history in the music industry, in all areas from studio work to live performances. Gregory pounded the pavement in the thriving '80s Hollywood rock scene, playing at all the rock venues from Gazzaris to the Troubadour to The Country Club. He eventually left L.A. after the '80s hard rock scene died down and became a session vocalist, singing on many well known Christian artists' albums. In the late '90s, he returned to California and in 1999, while doing a session in Malibu, he met Roger Scott Craig (ex-Fortune) and thus 101 SOUTH was born. Shortly after the first 101 SOUTH album (2000) was finished, Gregory was asked to join the band Heaven & Earth as their bass player and toured with them to support the "Windows to the World" album. He would then go on to record two more acclaimed 101 SOUTH albums and one solo record in 2014. Tristan Avakian is a professional musician of many years with extensive experience in theater, touring, writing, and producing. Cirque du Soleil, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Biohazard are just some of the names from the varied genres and artists he has immersed himself in. He has also worked with producers such as Steve Thompson and Rob Thomas and joined the Queen Extravaganza show in the USA. He is also known for being the guitarist of '90s Melodic Hard Rockers Red Dawn, a band formed by former Rainbow keyboardist David Rosenthal, together with other two Rainbow alumni Chuck Burgi and Greg Smith, which released a critically acclaimed album for EMI Toshiba in Japan in 1993. Tracklisting: 1. Burn For Love 2. I Will Be Stronger 3. Higher 4. In A Different World 5. Another Night, Another Fight 6. Phoenix 7. Two Ships 8. Losing Me 9. Do Or Die 10. The Pains Of Yesterday 11. Ain’t No End In Sight Line-Up: Gregory Lynn Hall - Vocals Tristan Avakian - Guitars Alessandro Del Vecchio - Bass, Keyboards Nicholas Papapicco - Drums Additional Musicians: Tommy Denander - Keyboards on 'Burn For Love'

  19. 'History's Hands' out November 22nd. Press release: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Enemy Eyes, a new melodic metal band fronted by vocalist Johnny Gioeli (Hardline, Axel Rudi Pell, Crush 40). Johnny is currently putting the finishing touches on Enemy Eyes' debut album, which will be released this fall. In the meantime, the band is pleased to present their debut single, 'Here We Are' for your listening pleasure. Of note, this will be Gioeli's 100th official release as a recording artist after decades of multi-platinum, gold, and critically acclaimed albums. A true landmark recording in his discography and also the beginning of a new chapter. Johnny Gioeli first came to prominence with Hardline, a melodic hard rock band that he formed with his brother Joey and which famously featured Journey guitarist Neal Schon on the band's debut album, "Double Eclipse". Johnny has continued to front Hardline since the release of their debut album in 1992, including their most recent release, 2021's "Heart, Mind And Soul". In addition to Hardline, Johnny has been fronting both German guitarist Axel Rudi Pell's solo band and Japanese-American band Crush 40 since 1998. He also released his first solo album, "One Voice" in 2018. Stay up to date with Enemy Eyes news by following the band's social media as well as Gioeli's. More to come, including touring in 2023!
