  1. New song taken from the forthcoming album 'Ultrapower'. Great song!
  2. From Pride & Joy Music: "Fight To The End" is the first single from FREAKSTORM's album "Angel In The Dark" which will be released on November 24th, 2023! In the year, 2016 FREAKSTORM was founded as a tribute project. The first song which the band recorded was a cover of the US group Halestorm. The goal to hand this track over to their idols personally (which indeed happened), gave Sinah and Olli the motivation to record their own songs. After the self-released EP "We Got The Fire" (2018) and the EP “From Zero” (2019), a new era for FREAKSTORM began when they started to work with producer Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69/Helloween). He supported the band to develop a rich rock sound – a strong fundament for Sinah’s powerful and clear voice. In May 2019 the successful single "Can’t Keep Me Down" was released digitally. The EP "From Zero" also was released as physical CD and draw great attention in the scene. In the year 2021 the musicians fulfilled their dream to release their first full-length album "Storm Inside My Heart". Ahead of the album release on the 27th of August 2021, FREAKSTORM put out two singles in advance, i.e. the propulsive title track "Storm Inside My Heart" and the electrifying AC/DC-cover "Shot Down In Flames". In the Christmas season the band presented an emotional acoustic version of their rock song "Out Of The Door”. In the year 2022 FREAKSTORM celebrated several releases. In May an EP with the powerful, melodic "When Dawn Is Breaking" as title track got released digitally and also as CD. In September the band delivered the single "Can’t Keep Me Down 2022". For the remake of FREAKSTORM’s most successful single so far David Readman from Pink Cream 69 performed a duet with Sinah Meier. FREAKSTORM started the year 2023 in March with the single "Creature Of The Night" – for the first time on vinyl and digital as well. The B-Side of the single is a cover version of the Scorpions classic "Big City Nights". Until early summer this song was exclusively available on the limited edition vinyl (100 copies only). Producer once again was Dennis Ward and guitars were delivered by Oliver Hartmann (Avantasia). Tracklisting: 1. Fight To The End 2. Stop The Fire 3. Creature Of The Night 4. Angel In The Dark 5. 5. From MelodicRock Classics: MelodicRock Classics is thrilled to announce a new partnership with acclaimed British melodic rock band RIO for the first ever official release on CD of their classic catalogue, which will also feature a third unreleased album! Starting with the band’s debut album ‘Borderland’, the freshly remastered release (thanks to JK Northrup) features an additional 4 bonus tracks. The band’s Steve Rodford had this to say about the long-awaited release: “We recorded this album in 1984 as part of our first major record deal, self-produced and recorded at home, then finished off and mixed in London. We’ve been amazed at how it has become a bit of a cult classic over the years and are delighted to be able to present Borderland, in partnership with MelodicRock Classics, featuring exclusive bonus material. It’s so good to be able to present original ‘band’ mixes of “I Don’t Wanna Be The Fool” and “State Of Emergency” as they are closer to the original sound and vision we had for the record. It was a real labour of love recording this album, and it’s so great there’s still interest in it all these years later and would be wonderful to think some new people might discover it. A very big thank you to Marcus Mason, Jamie and Matt at Sunfish and Andrew McNeice at MelodicRock Classics.” Track Listing: 01. I Don't Wanna Be The Fool 02. Straight To The Heart 03. Tommy Can't Help It 04. Better This Time 05. State Of Emergency 06. Shy Girl 07.She's A Virgin 08.Close To You 09. Borderland Bonus Tracks: 10. 7. From FB: Hi folks, Hope everyone is doing well It's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride to say the least in the Compass camp. Let's start with a positive as last week we received the masters for the new album from none other than Rolf Munkes. Rolf has worked with such luminaries as Neil Murray (Whitesnake), Michael Schenker, GUN, and Bonfire, and he has done a monster job on this album !!! .....and then all that positivity was thrown into confusion, when, in the space of 7 days we get dropped by one label and then signed again to another. We don't need to go into any details but we think this was a blessing in disguise, and certainly the best for all parties concerned. The good news is that we are now back on track, and with that said we can announce that we have signed to No Dust Records for the release of our third album "A Silent Symphony". They will also be announcing the news in due course, but suffice to say that we are really excited to be joining their roster of bands which includes Third Eye, Picture, and the marvellous Anubis Gate. and finally..... we are so pleased to share with you the front cover of the new album. "A Silent Symphony" will be released in late November. Please share, and watch this space for further news thanks for all your support Ben, Dave, Toni, and Steve
  8. Debut album to be released next year. Info: Formed in 2020 by Lean Van Ranna (King Of Salem, Excalibur, Auryah, Menahem, A Taste Of Freedom, Masterful, Melodius Deite, etc.) under the name Road To Prize, prioritized a sound more focused on AOR and Melodic Rock, even releasing the single “All I Want” in 2021, before going on a short hiatus. The following year, already as KIN WAGON, they returned with a new line-up and mainly, a heavier sound based on Hard N ‘Heavy, Glam Metal, even a touch of Blues, without leaving aside their Hard Rock and AOR roots of the 80s and 90s. After a new reformulation, now baptized as Ranna’s Kin Wagon, the band is preparing to record their first full-length album and finally hit the road.
  9. Debut album 'Here We Are' out December 8th through Frontiers.
  10. Maverick's cover of....that song.

Walk With Me 5:09 Produced by Steve Overland / Robert Sall / Khalil Turk Bio Steve Overland is a legend in his own lifetime. Is there anyone out there who is not familiar with his name? He has a history that goes way back into the late seventies, his first major recording was with the band “Wildlife” in 1980. After the demise of “Wildlife” Steve went on to form the cult British melodic rock band “FM”, a band that released many great albums throughout the years and they are still going strong to this very day. Steve originally teamed up with Escape Music to provide lead vocals for the Boston Tribute album (ESM 081), singing 'Amanda', one of the album highlights. Steve also collaborated with Steve Morris of “Heartland” fame to record four “Shadowman” albums, all of which are well respected in the rock community. He has written, recorded and sung so many great songs over the years. However, let’s get back to Steve’s solo work with Escape Music which began with Break Away” (ESM170), then “Diamond Dealer” (ESM198), “Epic” (ESM262) “Contagious” (ESM297) and “Scandalous” (ESM343) This man can just seemingly continue to give us breathtakingly good songs and with great song writing. This new release for 2023 is simply entitled “S.I.X” and is being released on both CD and Vinyl (limited edition of 500, all numbered in yellow flame) and featuring two bonus tracks. Exciting news indeed! Steve Overland just gets better, and this latest recording has been hailed as his finest recording to date.

  14. From MelodicRock Classics: MelodicRock Classics has something a little different for fans come September 29. The label is not only delivering a 1986 cult classic hard rock album on CD for the first time ever, but also delivering a brand-new re-recording of the same album, all in the one package. The band is French rockers PINK ROSE, the album is ‘Just What You Needed’. Originally released on LP back in 1986, the album features Marc Quee on vocals; Fabrice Fourgeaud on guitar; Thierry Gaulme on drums; and Pierre Bremond on bass. Formed out of the ashes of Attentat Rock, PINK ROSE only recorded the one album, but following an Attentat Rock reunion in 2009, the 4 members of Pink Rose started talks about re-recording the album. Now almost 15 years later (37 since the release of Just What You Needed), the new cathartic recording is completed and is aptly titled Just What We Needed. ‘Just What We Needed’ will be Disc 1 of a 2-Disc set, with the original remastered album Just What You Needed being the second disc. About PINK ROSE: When Attentat Rock went into the Studio Maunoir in Geneva in January 1986, their intention was to record the bands 4th album, which was going to be called "Pink Rose”. A few months before, Herve Raynal, who was the bands main composer, left the band and was replaced by Stéphane Bonneau (Satan Jokers). After the first week of the recordings, Stephane decided to leave the band, which left the band as a quartet. Instead of bringing in a new lead guitarist the band opted to add keyboards to the songs (played by Thierry Fervant, owner of Studio Maunoir). This - and the fact that the new compositions were different to what had been the style of Attentat Rock – caused the band to decide to take a completely different path, changing their name to Pink Rose. The band was never happy with the production, which they felt didn't give justice to the songs and after a few months after the release of the album they split up. Until now. MRC will release the 2CD Set Just What We Needed on September 29. Disc 1: Just What We Needed (Re-Recording) 01. Sunrise 02. Lady From Germany 03. Just What I Needed 04. Longing For Love 05.
