Hey Folks Yes this was a shocker for all of us. Both band and label are sad to see Mark move on. However, in life change is sometime unavoidable. We wish Mark the absolute best , both musiclly , professionaly and in his personal life. It was a pleasure and a great time having him a part of our family. He was , and IS a true friend of all of ours, thank you for everything Mark. Now with that said, i would like to take this moment to welcome Mike Ledesma to the fold. We couldnt be happier with him coming on board, and we are confident that he will do the bands material justice and will even surprise a few of you with how good this guy really is. No one wants to see a singer replaced in a band they like. In this case though, this could truly be viewed as a evolution in this bands young career. Something that we hope the bands fans base welcome with the same ethutiasim as as we have. Now ofcourse, in the end, Proof is in the pudding. But let's be honest with ourselves. If a Firehouse song is used for a movie, commercial or TV (a HUUUUGE "if" in the first place), are the re-recorded songs released either independently, or on some tiny label going to be used, or are the songs that were commercial successes on a big label in the first place going to be used? probably comes down to the "who did they ask". If they ask the band then they will have material that they can say yes to without worring about record labels. If they go to the label the band is just out of luck. And it may come down also to the fact that the band may ask less for the use of the song and get more money than if the label gives the ok. I'm sure with some of these "retro" movies that have come out as of late Firehouse may have had a chance or will have a chance to get a song in a movie. Do I need to point out that if that chance came up, one can only assume that for the purpose of a "retro" film they'd also use the "retro" version of the song? Sorry mate, don't mean to sound cynical but I just truly cannot see one instance in the world where the re-recorded version would get picked by anyone for anything over the original recording. Hey Geoff Not entirley true. Alot of times its easier and cheaper for a company to secure a alternate version of the orginal song. It's been done more times then you know, and you dont even realize it. In the movie MIB 2. They are playing a LIVE CONCERT version of SPEED DEMON by Keel in the post office scene. Not the orginal recorded version, but in fact a concert version! lol. There is a gain commercial running right now that uses Warrants Heaven. Which is not the orginal version. However in other cases. They do use the orginal recordings. So it can go either way. In the movie, the wrestler, FIREHOUSE had the orginal recording of DONT WALK AWAY in the strip bar scene. This also comes into play for dvd releases, Wrestling shows, tv shows etc etc. Sometimes the orginal broadcast will have the orginal song, but the dvd version may have a differant version or a differant song all together in its place due to the $$ to further extend the license.

Absolutely, and the label continues to have an influence, which is part of what John's vision is for the bands on his label. But whereas the first release included more outside songwriting and band members that had never played the material live, this release has much more in the way of band contributed material as well as a band that's hung out, rehearsed extensively, and played live together. Overall I think it breathes more life into something that was already very good, and now all that much better... I hope! well judging on many Kivel releases that I like such as your old band Rockarma, along with the other names like Damn Cheetah, Goodbye Thrill, Talon, and TNA, I trust John's taste and influence Thank You Night train. Hello All, Just wanted to drop by and let you know that all is moving ahead smoothly with the manufacturing of the new FARCRY disc. We will have our shipment in our hands May 21st. The band really gelled on this album. I think people will find alot of what they enjoyed of the HIGH GEAR release, but will be pleasantly surprised with the evolution of the band as well. No that is not code for some experimental sounds, material etc.LOL. This isn't Queensryche.(Not that there is anything wrong with Ryche) This album does have it all (excuse the Farcry Pun) You have your fist pumping top down doing 90 on the highway tunes. There are the sing along anthems. The fun toe tapper i love my girl pop along tune. Ofcourse there are two killer ballads(You have to have them right!?). The heartwarming pulling on the heart strings one that leaves a smile on your face. Then there is the inspirational, i wont be held down ballad. There is also a song that may surprise everyone how in your face and mean FARCRY can get. It you liked Have It all, then your going to love hearing this particular tune, It's fierce! I cant say enough about this album. Everyone involved delivered! We made sure not to rush it, as we wanted this to be the best we can offer.The fans deserve as much. I don't just say this as the guy behind the band/label etc. I say this as a fan of MUSIC and the genre. I haven't stopped listening to this cd since it was completed. I promise that it will deliver and not disappoint fans of the bands past work. Big thanks to everyone that has pre ordered it already, and sent in the very kind emails showing support. I Can shed light on TOUR DE FORCE for you. WORLD ON FIRE and the "GREEN" album were collections of all the publishing demos the band did under a development deal with GEFFEN RECORDS. Come 91. Geffen went with another band(not telling who it was! LOL). Shame as TDF was a GREAT Live band that should have gotten a shot. Always packed the local clubs to the rafters and were treated like a national act in the clubs. The bands manager took said demos and got the band a japanese deal. Releasing WORLD ON FIRE and the "GREEN" album in Japam and the UK. W.O.F was recorded back in 88-89. while the green album was done 90-91. The GREEN disc was released first, followed by WOF. Ironic...LOL. BTW, The Japan bonus track for WOF was actually an obsure Michael Bolton song. Possibly from his Black Jack days. The UNRELEASED album we did in 2000 was Material that was "unreleased" demos that didnt make the two prior releases. Some of those demos span prior to WOF, and some were done after the green album. If you get the Japan verion of UNRELEASED you can get the very last song the band ever recorded in 2000. Its a acoustic reworked version of WATERCOLORS. Update on where they all went. Alex Salz: Keys, Guitars has mixed and mastered numerous Kivel releases over the years. Adriangale, Tna, Tour De Force, Goodbye Thrill, Ted Poley. He has also been nominated twice for a grammy!! Go Alex!! For producing a Native American Pop artist named Jana. He also recently worked on the latest ACE FREHLEY album and is partners with Stephen Galfas Billy Pauly: Drums went onto play in Straight Wired for several years and even played Woodstock 94. Bill Frolich: Bass did a band with tdf Guitarist Chris for a year after TDF with Chris younger brother Alex. The band was called No Happy Faces. The band called it quits, and alex went onto acting has been in various things such as U571, two seasons of E.R. and was on the FX series Over There to name a few. Chris Palladino: writes and produces songs for tv and movies. Chali lead vocalist is now a well sought out Chef in his area. Will there ever be a reunion? NEVER KNOW ;-) We have discussed possibly putting out a LIVE DVD of the band. Which was filmed at the world famous RITZ in Ny from back in the day. Will keep you pposted. We can say this. There will NOT be a "new" album. The band has definatley moved on.

Glad you guys enjoyed this particular release. It holds a special place for me. These were the bands old demos that never saw the light of day. They were so non ciruclated, that even the most jedi knight of collector would not be able to obtain a copy of the bands demo. LOL. Dave aka Koz, was a fantastic frontman. One of the best i ever saw. As well as a amazing singer. He can, did, and still can hit every note live. He was a rare talent. Greg his guitar playing was only outshined by the fact he was one of the most laid back nicest guys i knew. Every guy in the band was a good guy, and i was happy to be friends with them for over 20 years now (YIKES! r we getting old!?)there is a interactive portion to that cd if u put it in your computer. Along with a video of the band live. For a brief while, myself and the core of the band were entertaining a follow up cd. Problem was, TURNING POINT did not do well. Which i was willing to overlook. However, the band was moving on with life. Weddings, Married, kids (in Koz's case...ALOT of kids! lol) moving away etc. Dave (Bass) runs a successful Internet biz in CT is married with children, but plays in a RUSH Tribute band with Stone Angel guitarist Pete Koz(Vocals) is happily married with his army of kids living in Ohio,he still sings in various plays/opera productions Greg( lead guitars ) lives in NYC and is singing/playing guitar/fronting his own band, as well as oversees his family biz. as for thier drummer. I dont know. I can only guess he is doing quite well as a studio musician, as he was one of the most talented drummers ive ever seen. Jazz trained and could play ANYTHING. Im sure he is doing quite well as he was that kinda guy that would succeed. Every now and then i talk to koz about doing something new. What say you guys. Thanks for the info, John. Am I reading this correctly, that there will be a full new studio album from Goodbye Thrill in May? If that's right, will the 4 new songs on 'Keepsakes' be on that one too? Hey Geoff!! YES Thrill will have a brand new studio release the end of this month going into June. It is called OUTRAGEOUS. WAIT til you see the album cover. WOW....We outdid ourselves!! I dont know what is scarier, the fact i thought of such a crazy concept...OR the fact that F3 Studios was able to actually pull it off!! LOL. I must say that F3 Studios outdid themselves on this one and knocked it out of the park! Unveiling this coming week. Now ofcourse, we cant wait for everyone to hear it as well. Hello All!! Sorry for being lowkey on this board. Been a hectic few months. Right after the holidays, we rolled up our sleeves for what should be a happening spring/summer for us. To answer the questions regarding GOODBYE THRILL, this release was orginally going to be titled One and Half and have a differant cover concept. However we felt we came up with a more fitting concept, which led to it's title. Apologies for any confusion on the order page where it is still listed as 1 n a half. Trust me when i say that this IS must for fans of the band, or melodicrock in general. You get a cd AND a Dvd for $12. How can you go wrong? Plus several new studio tracks, a remixed version of RAINY DAYS by Mega Producer Beau Hill. As well as the reworked versions of some of the cuts off the 1st album. The dvd itself makes it worth having with over an hour worth of goodies, as it has the live concert footage, a video, candid footage of them in the studio, on the road and live.
