Hey Guys Thank you for the kind words on the new single. Im fwding them to the guys . They are very appreciative of what you are saying. Im glad to see some of you enjoyed the 1st cd, but i can promise this is a diffferant album band in every sense. New singer, new musical direction a bit edgier. We even threw in the kitchen sink in on this one. We are very proud of our bud Rif. In his own words....."THIS is the album ive always wanted to make" So in a way this is almost like a debuet release. New Look...New Attitude...New Album to accompany their upcoming release,Tango Down "Damage Control" (Kivel Records) Tango Down has have been honing the new material and line up the past few months, by opening for such acts as Tyketto, La Guns(w Phil Lewis), Stephen Pearcy, Firehouse and Dokken. All to positive crowd response. Scott Miller says, "I'm excited as the new material is guitar crunchy , drenched with big vocal melodies. Also we have been doing a lot of playing out live road testing the songs. So far the feedback has been thumbs up on all of it. Which has been a lot of fun for us. Ty Sims has been doing a bang up job on producing our cd. We loved what he did with Farcry, that there was no argument from me when the label said they wanted him behind the board." Ty Sims had this to say about the new album. "Its shaping up to be a really good disk. It should please fans of the melodic rock genre, as it has elements of bands like Firehouse mixed in with the crunch of bands like Lynch Mob. This is a new band in every sense from the first release. I think it will surprise a lot of people." Tango Down will also be performing on the main stage at this years South Dakota Rockfest with Bret Michaels, Skid Row, Dokken, Firehouse, La Guns, Enuff Z nuff, and a few of our labelmates, Bombay Black, Farcry and Talon. Its going to be a party for sure...hope to see everyone there! You can pre-order Damage Control which is due July 21st, at www.kivelrecords.com. Hey Everyone Thank you to each of you for taking the time to give us your feedback on the cd. All very much appreciated. Trust me, we are taking notes. We enjoyed reading what you had to say. Some of your comments we think are spot on. Some of them we were surprised to hear (not in a bad way) but thats what we want to know...what YOU as the listener thinks! My apologies to anyone that does not like Nowhere Fast. Blame ME. LOL. I kinda held a gun to thier heads on that one. God bless them, as they put up lil fight lol ;-) Also appreciate the comments on the artwork. Wasnt expecting that much feedback, but again appreciated. I can promise that you will enjoy the next release equally, both on production, visual and ofcourse hopefully the music itself. Looking foward to seeing some of you again in SD. This is what i love!! There seems to be no set pattern here. Peoples fave list is all over the map. YOu have people loving Love Wont Wait, while others say Have it All and now ametalhead1966 is saying Kick Me Down as a fave. THIS is the kinda of thing we were going for! A diverse melodic rock album along the lines of BON JOVI New Jersey. In the end a lil of something for everyone. Thanks for the kind words and feedback amh1966!! JK

Hey DD Glad to hear that your copy arrived without error. Sometimes you cant help/avoid transit time via the USPS. LOL. As for the poster and autographs. All posters are to be shipped sepratly as we did not want to have to fold them. So they will be sent via a poster tube this week. Hey you guys have to give us time we are working as fast as possible! lol. I apologize if your copy of the cd was sans autographs. The band only signed so many copies and in the end a few customers didnt get one. However , those customers will get the signed poster for sure. In the meantime im glad to see such great feedback. I will be there, and that is AWESOME news!!!! Thanks John! No problem!! After a few discussion. Pete and myself felt that we should give something a lil extra at the show. The response has been so great, and in such a short time as well. It's taken us by surprise, and blown us all away. So we started talking yesterday, and we thought- hey why not just do the entire album! Lets not worry about what song to cut etc. We may not get a chance to do the entire cd again. Plus knowing alot of the HH crew will be on hand. We felt with all these factors, It all made sense. Only draw back is Pete has to relearn the ENTIRE album while i sit in the vip tent drinking with you guys. LOL. Honestly i dont have it that easy. i wish. I think i sat down once last year in SD. LOL. So now let me ask this...... FARCRY tshirts? should i or shouldnt i? hmmmmm..... Keep the comments coming folks! JK

Hey BT Thanks for the kind words on the new release. ALL of us busted our ass to bring the BEST cd possible. We couldnt be happier with the results AND public feedback. THANK YOU on behalf of myself, Ty and the band. We are already working on album two if you can believe it! LOL. FARCRY is already set to (hopefully) go back into the studio in sept to start work on album two. ALSO if you are attending the bands set at South Dakota, then you will be happy to know that they will be performing HIGH GEAR in its entirity, from begining to end!! All pre order customers were suppose to get a signed cd. If you were a pre order customer and didnt get a signed cd, we apologize. We will get a replacement cd sleeve out to your in tomorrows mail along with a FARCRY poster. As for the song order issue. Yes there was a snafu with the track order for some odd reason. Funny thing is the proofs we approved were with the correct order. However the final was not. Instead of pushing it back yet again we decided why not. Hey it came out on April 1st. Hey Dave To answer your question..... YES!! Jace is a super talent and equally a super guy. He has a few penned songs on the FARCRY, as well as two on the GOODBYE THRILL cd, and even a cowrite on the upcoming TANGO DOWN. Which we go into the studio tomorrow morning to start recording. So it became obvious after hearing all his work demos that he should do a album for us. So in a nut shell without overshadowing the main purpose of this thread (FARCRY!) Jace along with his brother have put together a top shelf melodic gem. It is in the can and once i can free the studio up of the backlog of upcoming Kivel titles coming out, mixing will comence. Look for the Jace cd to be out sometime in the spring, along with upcoming releases from SEVEN DAYZ, GOODBYE THRILL, TANGO DOWN, TALON, BOMBAY BLACK and a few more surprises!! We are taking no prisoners this year as you can see! :-) We have about 10 - 12 releases. All set for the 2009 year. Not bad for our modest lil label ;-) LOL. As for the depature of Farcry's rythm section on the eve of the albums release is unfortunate, and a bit surprising i know. However , something that could not be avoided. (Everyone are still friends) Simply put, the delay of the album and now all of a sudden the band having all these comitments out of nowhere. It was obvious that John and Chris would not be able to throw themselves back in the saddle. Which we understand. Both band and label wish them the absolute best. With that said, we couldnt be any happier with the new additons to the band. We are 100% positive that the band will not dissapoint in SD. As for the video question....yes we have plans to shoot several videos for this album. One of which will utilize footage from SD. So get up front if you want to be in it ! ;-) Thank you! I think u will be pleased. :-) He doesnt have Jamies "grit"...its just more of a "vibe".That reminds me of Jamie. Dont want people to think he is a clone of anyone now. LOL. The First time i heard Mark sing...my mouth hit the floor. He did STYX Come Sail Away. He hit EVERY note spot on! He pretty much had the gig , and he didnt even know he had just auditioned. LOL!! Hey Folks I know i have been sparse on this board, but i thought i would post some comments to this thread. We could not be any happier that the FARCRY is nearing completion. Mixing is in its final stages and is set to be done this week. THEN off to the plant for a 14 day turnaround time. The song on the sampler, is one of my fave tracks on the album, however not the best representation of this release. Its the odd man out "HEAVY" track. As for who mark sounds like. Thats a TOUGH one. He really doesnt sound like anyone. The best i could say is he sounds like a Jamie Rowe. Now i dont mean he "sounds" like him, im saying he has that same "vibe" as Jamie . Matched with Petes guitar work...this is a album that will surley please melodicrock fans im sure. So far the comparisons on the band and album i have heard is Winger "Heart Of Young" meets Bon Jovi "New Jersey". IMHO the best comparison i heard was that it sounded like ADRIANGALE "RE:PROGRAM" era. Comparisons aside , myself and the band will leave the interupitation to YOU the listener. Track order is as follows with lil brief discriptions LOVE WONT WAIT This is a GREAT toe tapper fun summertime feelgood tune. Melodic goodness with a creamy center :-) TALK TO ME POP POP POP goes the hit!!! Great sing along tune. Kinda Def Lep Adrenalize era. HAVE IT ALL Mean and in your face!! Showcases the monster guitar player that Pete Fry truly is! This one has that Winger vibe FINE LINE Def Lep territory!! I can see people shouting this one at the top of thier lungs KICK ME DOWN Kinda Firehouse meets Bon Jovi. Great vibe. This is a Clapper for sure HEAVEN The Ballad!!!! The 80s are alive and well in this one!!! NOWHERE FAST The "surprise" of the album....dont want to ruin it....but the clever ones will figure it out.;-) This one came out FEROCIOUS and ture to what it was meant to be. OUT OF REACH POP POP POP goes another hit. Great catchy sing along chorus that would make Bon Jovi proud. This one was meant for crowd participation! Penned by Jace Pawlak this one is a fave of all of ours. SHES CRAZY a great groove oriented party tune. With a BIG sing along chorus. SAME MISTAKE Another Jace penned tune that simply put is a Beautiful Power ballad. The boy can paint a picture and this one is one of his finest moments. Having Jace onboard for this album was a pleasure. He is like a 5th member of the band. Look for HIS new band and album in spring of 09 THOSE WERE THE DAYS Upbeat... ANTHEM! ANTHEM ANTHEM!! Hey Folks Ive been kinda quiet around here, so i thought id give some updates for the HH'ers. The coolest board on the net. FARCRY!! Ok...the thing everyone keeps asking about. Our own lil CHINESE DEMOCRACY album. It is inches from completion and WILL be the very 1st release from us in 2009. Why the delay? Well....we went in to recut the drums as after review they just wernt cutting it. Then we had to resched time in the studio. I had other releases, we had shows. Petes comitments to KARMA repeat cycle. We finally get in the studio recut drums. THEN we decide we should recut the guitars and bass! LOL. In the end we have a much stronger album and it will show. I promise. Look for new Kivel releases this year from FARCRY "High Gear", GOODBYE THRILL "1nHalf" , SEVEN DAYZ, VLS, STOLEN SEASON, STEREO PARADE and a few other surprises from some old faces! Other then that id like to announce my proudest kivel news to date.....IM GETTING MARRIED!!!! I asked my wonderful Laurie over thanksgiving weekend and she said yes, and no this will not stifle my creative process. OR some of my racey album cover art.LOL. Hey Folks Im going to chime on this as i dont want to see it turn ugly. Unless it has already been deemed ugly...lol. to Geoff and the rest of the bunch that have expressed their like and appreciation for the new album and singer. As well as arguing the debate of is he or isnt he any good. For all of the above, THANK YOU....It is very much appreciated. Now with that said i will chime in and say that if Phaffas does not like this cd or its singer, i say we should all respect this(even if some of us do not agree). He obviously has a diferant taste to his vocalists. I know myself i prefer Danny Vaughn singing HEAVEN TONIGHT over the previous WAYSTED singer. Some may prefer the latter. I may dissagree with that person, but if they truly feel that way i will not argue their opinion. In the end TALON has evolved in some ways to be a differant band. I said from day one some will like, some will not. If you put Robert Mason in TNT it is obviously goign to change. I myself am happy with the results of where this band has gone with this album and new direction. No disrespect to the previous incarnation or sound. In the meantime enjoy all the music that is coming out from all the labels as there is alot of good stuff coming out over the next few months...from music to movies and video games if your into any of the above. Again, pristine production, but the song leaves me underwhelmed. Just something about this release isn't grabbing me, and I still think it's a pretty standard offering in the melodic hard rock genre, the sort of thing we've heard done thousands of times before. Or maybe I just lean toward the heavier, more aggressive side of the genre and this slick, straight-forward sound just doesn't appeal to me and therefore I should shut my mouth (I heard that, Pete!). Sorry, John (and the band), while I think plenty of folks 'round these parts will enjoy this, it's just not clicking with me. No problem. I appreciate you took the time to sample ....!!

Hello All Unfortunatley we will more then likely not use pay pal anytime in the near future. We understand how convient it is to use pay pal for the buyer. However we have had less then spectacular experiances. When a buyer can receive goods (1500 worth) THEN reverse the charge, and i have to jump through hoops...that is reason enough for me. We had fed ex tracking numbers, a signiture. They then refunded 1350. When i inquired about the shortage/differance they said the customer didnt get all of the order. ?!!? HUH!?!? So lets recap...first this buyer says they didnt get 1500 worth of product. ZERO. Then when i prove they did...they said they didnt get it all. Although i had a signiture showing delivery AND email from them confirming they had ALL the goods. Now the kicker....PAY PAL told me that WE had to send them $150 for all this. Bottom line there is no protection for the seller and we will not partake in thier services. We do offer a safe and secure online credit card service and keep no cc information on file. Infact we never see your cc number only the last 4 digits. Hope this sheds light on things for people wondering why John
