Everybody 'Wang Chung' tonight................hahaha... Ok......so I'm probably the only one laughing......

After my bowling league last night *we finished early...*, I decided to hit the Best Buy nearby and check to see what I could find..... I found a couple of cool things..... Of the ones I found last night....the standout for me was a band called.... Kill Hannah ~ "For Never and Ever" Their cd could best be described as an infusion of The Cars...mixed with glam and rock....the vocalist has a cool sound to his voice, and they use some Cars-like synths to give them a kind of 'retro' sound....but not blatant...as they sound 'fresh'... Good stuff....and THAT'S what's spinnin' in my player...right now....

Livesay is pretty cool. I remember gettin' their first cd back in the early 90's from Krystal Rose Music outta the Boston area!! Don't have that new one......but since you dig it, Whip....maybe I should track it down!! Oh...to stay on topic... Nuthin' in my 'player' right now.....just rollin' around on the floor laughin' my ass off!!!!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to pick that Sludge cd up, Howdy.......is it any good?? Today I listened to: W.A.S.P. ~ "Neon God....." I truly think Blackie recreates the same album...time after time.... I think I may have to listen to this one a bit more......maybe it's just me.....

SEYHEY....yep, Vanden Plas kicks some might ass!! And so does that Burning Rain you've recently jammed to..... Slammin' Gladys....was....HORRIBLE. I still remember gettin' that cassette and bringin' it home hopin' it would rock. God.....did it suck. That was one of those early 90's releases that you hoped was good 80's styled hard rock....but disappointed. Listened to it one time......and that was enough..... To stay on topic...... Today, I had Amsterdam ~ 's/t' .....damn good Indie.....

MJ sent me that Kingofthehill unreleased album....so I listened to THAT this a.m.... Not bad.... Funny how so many bands have those 'unreleased' albums sitting in some corporate vault somewhere..... I've heard Tora Tora has one....but I've yet to hear it. THAT would be cool!!

Hmmm....nothing here at the office, today. But....on the way in I jammed to Roxy Blue and Steelheart's self-titled release! The trek home will probably have me puttin' in CTRL ~ "Lose the Image"

"Walk Away" is one of my favorite Dokken tunes.....it scares me that he's covering this song. Do I really want to hear this?? To stay on topic..... On the way to the office this a.m. I was listening to: CTRL ~ "Lose the Image" excellent band......

The funny thing I find is that it's actually difficult NOT to sound like someone nowadays. The whole...'they're a Led Zep rip off' is a cop out.....maybe you don't like them, but to use that as the excuse is poor..... and that is just my opinion......LOL

MJ...you mean you're hearing that Warrant album for the first time??!!! *shakes head* That's a great cd!! April 2031 is one of my favorites on that one...... Spinnin' in my cd player....... This a.m. it was Assemblage23 "Defiance".....love this one....

Haha....yeah, my walls were 'skakin' to Assemblage23 last night!! To stay on topic....I found that the Kingdom Come stuff was pretty good! So what if they sounded like Led Zeppelin....big fuckin' deal. That can almost be said about a ton of bands....so what.... The only cd I didn't like from them was a really lightweight one. Can't remember which one it was because I listened to it at a store and didn't buy it because it sucked so bad. But Master Seven was damn good!!
