  1. Don't think there was a thread specifically on the new album so thought I'd start one. I know there were posts somewhere with some of the singles so far. Anyways, pretty good album and a step up from their debut IMO. Production here is ramped up compared to debut IMO. Album is only 9 songs but songs are pretty well done IMO.
  2. Agree. Have been a fan of Halestorm and Lzzy....she's fantastic. That said though, this Skid Row thing just feels "off" to me. She sounds fine but I think it's simply that hearing a female voice do the songs just doesn't seem right after listening to the originals for so long. I much prefer hearing Lzzy in Halestorm. I'd rather see her concentrate on that and also concentrate on doing new music that's more in line with their first 2 albums!
  3. Good news. Nate seems like a great dude and from what I've seen, he does a nice job. I think he's the right guy for that gig being he was filling in with CJ's blessing and he has the right tone in his voice to do the songs justice. Granted, there's no replacing CJ's unique voice but good that they'll still be out there celebrating the music. One thing I wonder is if they'll maybe considering doing some new music with Nate? I mean, he's a young guy and would probably love to record some new music with them. Not sure how much demand there would be for it but I like to see them put out a new song at least and just see how it goes. It would be nice to give Nate something of his own in the setlist too. I'm not gonna hold my breath though lol.
  4. Like Living Proof but this song is a big thumbs down. This is exactly the kind of stuff I don't want to hear from Bon Jovi. I can appreciate the sentiment as I think it's a song written for his daughter who is getting married. But it should've stayed between him and her lol.
  5. New tune out. I like this one. Probably about as good as it can get from Bon Jovi at this point.
  6. Saw new single Living Proof is dropping Friday. While I've not liked most of what they've done the past 10-12 years, the snippet of Living Proof sounds pretty promising to me. At least it's more of a rock song and the talk box could conjure up some classic vibes.
  7. For me, kind of a meh album with a few good moments. Have to say I do really dig Hold The Dream....among my favorite songs this year. Bach absolutely kills it in that song and there's some nice hooks in that one. That one gives me some Skid Row vibes for sure. What Do I got To Lose is also pretty decent and catchy. Outside of those two songs though, not much pulling me in. Freedom and Future of Youth are okay but the rest is doing very little for me. Bach can still sing and there's some killer guitar and drum work throughout. The album does "rock". I'm just not finding the songs to be very interesting, catchy, or memorable. Hold The Dream easily sticks out as the best song on it for me. Honestly though, even after all this time, all I can think about as I listen to this is that I'd love to hear him back doing an album with Skid Row. I know it's been 30 years and it isn't happening lol. But still can't help thinking about it. It's like having a jelly sandwich without the peanut butter....just feels like something is missing lol.
  8. New single from Tempt out. Enjoyed their last album and digging this one too. Not sure if an album is imminent. Their trend seems to be putting out singles and probably eventually an album.
  9. Thought I'd get the thread going for 2024.... We're a little past 1/4 of the way. Honestly, not sure I even have any albums that have grabbed me too much. I thought Crazy Lixx Two Shots At Glory was okay but that's mostly just a compilation album with on a few new songs. Also have liked a few songs on Judas Priest....That's probably my favorite album so far I'd guess but I really only like 3-4 tracks. Plenty of stuff coming though so things should pick up.
  10. Haven't been much into Bach's solo stuff but a couple of the songs sound pretty good. That last one definitely rocks.....good stuff.
  11. It's ok but at the same time not doing much for me. To me this sounds like this could've been a modern Bon Jovi song. If you're basically making music that sounds like Bon Jovi, why not just go back to Bon Jovi lol. As it is, Richie's solo stuff has never really grabbed me and don't see myself returning to this. Do plan to check out the Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu this weekend though
  12. New tune. Pretty good, rocking tune imo upon my first listen. Also, seems to me like their production has been turned up a notch on these new songs.
  13. Gave it one listen....that'll be it for me lol. Verses seem out of place, nothing catchy, melodic.... Pass.
  14. The definitely do put some nice effort into their videos. Yeah, that release date feels like it was a little farther out than necessary. I feel like early June probably would've been fine to still allow plenty of promotion time and a few singles/videos. I guess I get it though. It seems like albums die and get forgotten pretty quickly these days so the best way to give it legs is probably doing a slow burn with getting songs out there before ultimately releasing the album.
  15. 2 for 2 for me. These guys just keep cranking out fun, catchy tunes.
