YOUNG TURK question

Okay.... so it's towards the end of the hair metal explosion. I am still a teenager with too much money to waste and I was a cassette buying fool. So here I had in my hand "NE 2nd Avenue" by the band YOUNG TURK. Having no idea who the hell they were, I bought the tape blindly. And I remember the first song playing and thinking to myself..... I done got burned.

 

As I struggled through the rest of side 1, I dreaded the thought of flipping that cassette tape over and enduring side 2 of this pile of dung.

 

So on to last night, I am cleaning out computer files and deleting a bunch of crap that cluttering up my music database and I come across something I know I have never listened to and didn't even know I had.

 

YOUNG TURK..... some of their earlier material I am assuming as it's dated 1987 and it's sounds nothing like that garbage that was on "NE 2nd Avenue". This collection/disc/demo is called "Do You Know Where Your Daughters Are?"

 

Has anybody ever heard this band before, old or new? Pretty cool stuff they were doing until they changed their sound.

What's the sound quality like on those early demos? I agree that the CD from 1992 is absolutely horrible. Did not last long in my collection.

Young Turk had a demo called Train to Nowhere. Does anyone happen to have a copy? I used to have it on cassette. I would love to get another copy.
